Vacations, Waves, and Other Matters of Time

I have recently been contemplating a long vacation in a faraway place. But the problem is, should I go, I won’t be able to log into FL! The consequences of this would be disastrous for my Making Waves and, even worse, my Notability! So much vexation!

I began to wonder then, would it be possible to have a ‘vacation’ setting on FL accounts. If it is ‘on’ it would stop TtH … no Making Waves loss, no Notability loss, no menace reduction, no Professional Payments, and so on.

I’m sure this could be abused, but I’m also sure there are means to limit abuse; perhaps it could only be used for a certain number of TtHs a year, perhaps it would require Fate.

Would anyone else be interested in this? How hard would it be to implement?

I like that idea in theory, and have thought about the concept before. I suppose one way to prevent abuse would be to make the ‘vacation time’ a set amount; say, a month, or a week or two. Basically, the account is put on ‘pause’, say, right after Time, The Healer comes around.

So, once the ‘vacation’ button is pressed and activated: Time comes, account ‘pauses’ for 1 week (or intervals there of), and then ‘resumes’ again for Time to come around in approximately 1 weeks time :)

Perhaps to further limit abuse such a setting would pause the account entirely - not only would TtH not visit, but no actions would be gained, nor could actions be used.

Being away means that you can’t benefit from those anyway so it’s only a win! Problem is that this feature will contradict Notability’s properties. Found two echos for it; one and two.

Exactly - pausing the account entirely would prevent abuse of a vacation mode by players who aren’t actually on vacation. Otherwise, for example, someone who just didn’t want to deal with maintaining a high Notability level could set their account on vacation mode but keep playing the rest of the game anyways.
