And out of curiosity I went with ‘beat up the underworld kingpin’ instead of ‘beating the minister’ and I’ve gotten a turncoat thing now.
I don’t want it, how do i get rid of it?
It doesn’t do anything until it reaches 4, you also can’t get rid of it until it reaches 4. At that point you need to trade a lot of connections to get rid of it.
You can only get rid of A Turncoat if you have A Survivor of the Affair of the Box 12+ and Turncoat at least 4. While there are a couple sources of A Turncoat outside the Affair of the Box, as you discovered, that menace only has negative effects during the final part of that storyline.
The "lot of connections" suinicide mentions is either a whole bunch of Connected: Revolutionaries, or a single CP of Connected: Masters. The former is a much better deal.
