You might check to see if you have both a Wimple! and a Wimple. They are different items and I, somehow, have both.
Meanwhile with the Mildewy Mask from Virginia, it did not give me a second copy. I go the message "has not changed from 1 because it’s already higher than 0." I chose not to give it to her, because I need the Dreaded and was afraid to lose it. If you end up getting it back afterwards, I would probably choose different next time.
At the end of the day, I’m not too worried about losing a valuable item, because these stories will loop around and repeat. But we don’t yet know how many weeks that will be, and it could be a lot.
