The 'good evening' thread: introduce yourself here

Howdy delicious ones! I am The Bard and I have recently moved into an attic room in Fallen London. It’s will be a pleasure to make your acquaintances and hope to cross paths with many of my fellow Neathers.

Good evening. I am Lady Charlotte Pike, denizen of Fallen London and associate of bohemians. I enjoy writing, acting, and reading voraciously.

Hello, one and all. I’ve been playing for a few months now, and decided to check out the forums. Outside of the game, I’m a full-time student ultimately working towards a degree in astrophysics and a part-time hotel night auditor. Inside the game, my character is essentially a mirror of myself; mercurial, a bit more ruthless perhaps, but interested in learning all she can.

Good Evening! The name’s Krishna. I’m studying at University to be a chemist. I’ve posted once or twice, but I forgot to come here. I’ve been playing since last April, I think. My character is Moriarty Stinson, (you can guess who the homage is being paid too). I’ve made a fairly absurd amount of back story for my character, to an extent which would disturb me if I didn’t do this for every RPG I play. In lieu of burdening you with the torrid details, suffice it to say Moriarty is the the son of a London exile, (rumored to be nobility). He’s spent little time in London, but he’s become a Celebrated member of London Society (even if he’s technically banished from the Court), and an alleged voice for truth and justice in the Neath. A patriot, at any costs, and by any means, he says. Though his road has been crooked, and occasionally dark, he’s become a man many claim to be trustworthy. Though his methods can be…alarming.

Good evening, London.
My name is Liptai, and have been in the Neath for some time now. I am a player of the Game, ally of the Orient, Hell and Society at large.
And naturally, I am fiercely loyal to the Bazaar.
…What? No, don’t be silly. Of course I meant to say ‘the Masters’. Loyal to the Masters. Yes.
I believe the Bazaar…and the Masters…are the best thing to happen to London. And I intend to keep it that way. London shall have her Bazaar, despite the efforts of Revolutionaries and the machinations of…others. After all, who wants to live in a world without shroom-hopping? Or Prisoner’s Honey? Or the Game?

Perhaps if you feel the same you’ll drop in for tea some time, hm?

Greetings Gentle-folk,
I spent a great deal of time in Fallen London over a year ago - obsessing over spreadsheets and min-maxing strategies - and only now have found the time and opportunity to return.
My but there have been changes!
I am on Twitter as Madame_Heather and welcome social interaction, or pointers for any new and devastating content that might ruin my day (I have assiduously NOT sought after the name of things best left unknown for this very reason).
Sincerely,
MmeHeather

What wonderful new playthings, patrons and partners-in-elevated-activities! Welcome to the Neath, and welcome to our little club house. Candied mushrooms on demand and the brandy isn’t too watered down. No cider, I’m afraid, not for the likes of us.

Also, should you wander over to the StoryNexus Snug, you’ll find its regulars more than accommodating to your desires.

Hello my fellow citizens. The name’s Danica. I have been told I can be quite ruthless and stubborn though my heart’s always in the right place and I have a love of the finer things in life. I’m a bit newer to life down here but I slowly making waves and am quite familiar with Bohemians, the Duchess, and urchins. I’m also currently involved in the Game. Though I’m a bit of a violent woman feel free to stop by and have a chat with me. A spot of tea is always refreshing after a few bar fights.

Hello everybody, I’m new to Fallen London and enjoying it so far.

Good Evening,
I’m icecheetah and I have been a player for a couple of years now (I was introduced back when Extra Credits featured the game, then called ‘Echo Bazaar’, in their episode on non-combat gaming). I have occasionally lurked the forums, and only just decided to join, having already become a person of some importance and achieved some great things in game, as icecheetah2 (my twitter handler). When I’m not planning absurd robberies and getting myself banished from respectible establisments (in game) I like to study various topics, write and draw.
Pleased to meet the community, I may be quiet still.

Hello there. I’m Elena. As my Watchful trait leads my others by a good thirty points, it may not be entirely shocking if I mostly lurk, observing.

Well Met. My name is Dramlore. I am an Ancient Grognard who has recently become less bored with computer games since having discovered Fallen London. I am currently on a quest thruogh this circuitous maze of threads to discover the appropriate venue to request occassional helpful advice and possibly a minor hint about gameplay and storylines.

I am zarraha, I joined Fallen London about two years ago, although after getting all of my stats around 90 I started to get depressed about nearing the level cap and exhausting the existing content so I took a break. I just started up again about a month ago, lots of new content and fun fun fun stuff! I am fond of the great game (though haven’t yet made it to Wilmot’s End) and the church (curse those devils and their ilk!) My absolute favorite characters are the two girls from the mysterious benefactor persuasive option, I was extremely disappointed that I’ve never seen them since, and probably never will because it would be a lot of effort for0 the devs to keep making story options that only 1/4th of the players could possibly see. :( :( :(

Also, the roleyplaying forum here looks like a ghost town, that also makes me sad :( On a related note, is there any place with Fallen London fanfic?

Greetings! I am a creature named Zeedee and I’m pleased to make your acquaintance.

I became entangled with Fallen London after a brief affair with its sister game Night Circus. I was introduced to Fallen London after reading an Echo Bazaar review on Jay Is Games. The review and comments gave me the impression of Lovecraft horror mixed with a smattering of Sherlock Holmes… Really, how could one resist?! Discovering Fallen London felt like serendipity.

Greeting. I’m Lavi Shroud. I’ve been playing this game for a long time. Hope for the best to the hardworking developers.

Hello and greetings! My name is Jennifer, but on FL I’m known as Lady Amalthea. I’ve been playing off and on for awhile and really enjoy it. The only thing I could use would be friends on here, to assist in reducing my nightmares and such.

If anyone is interested that would be great! If there’s a way I can return the favor of your kindness ingame, please let me know. I will certainly do what I can :-)

Greetings, delicious friends!

I’m Flipz (both here and in Fallen London). I don’t actually have a FB or a Twitter, which hampers my social abilities somewhat, but who knows? Perhaps as I delve deeper into the Echo Bazaar, I’ll find the urge to tweet about it irresistable. ;-)

You can add other people’s StoryNexus accounts from the Identity:Aximillio link in my signature, so there’s an option for everyone =)

Greetings dear friend. I hope you don’t mind but I added you as a friend and hope we’ll be able to assist each other in the future :-)

Cheers, Aximillio, many thanks for the tip. I have added you as a friend, if ever you require healing, just let me know. ;-)

Forgive me, but I seem to be having some difficulty adding you as a friend–every time I enter your name into the Add a Friend field, I recieve a message saying that “The user could not be found.” I’ve double-checked the spelling, I’ve even tried copying from your profile page, but nothing seems to work. Any idea what I am doing wrong?
