The Gift and Menaces-Need help making a decision

I am playing The Gift for the first time and am faced with the first option so far. I really want to take the option labelled &quotunwise&quot. but cannot afford to lose my dreams if my character goes mad. Could somebody PM me about whether this is something I need to be worried about?

It’s exactly what will happen if you don’t have a special drink and land up where you can use it!

Special drink is one solution. Another is that if you have at least one Memory of Light, you’ll go to the Mirror-Marshes, not A State of Confusion, and you will only lose 10 CP of &quotHaving Recurring Dreams: Is Someone There?&quot Your other five dream qualities will be preserved AS LONG AS YOU AVOID the option to go to the Royal Bethlehem while in the Mirror-Marshes. The &quotunwise&quot option is TOTALLY worth it, in my humble opinion.
