In the ES, The Frequently Deceased, one character returns from the River in a timely manner by sacrificing weasels.
From a game design standpoint, though, it’s hard to say. For consistency with the Tomb-Colonies, the cost would likely be 10 Lucky Weasels (sale price of 2 Echoes) for -3 CP Wounds. In my opinion, though, one can read the sacrifice of these weasels as a commentary on the futility and selfishness of sacrificing innocent life just for your own convenience. The Boatman is unimpressed by your attempt to essentially bribe him with death and gives you meager scraps of life in return.
What would be rather funny, though, is if an option unlocked at 400,000 Lucky Weasels to clear wounds and depart the River as an alternative to the Cider.
