THANK YOU FAILBETTER!

The twenty-fourth box on the advent calendar simply brings a tear to my eye. This being my first year really playing Fallen London, I really enjoyed the whole advent-calendar thing. It was a great way to count down the days until Christmas, Sackmas, Neathmas, and even - dare I say - Ratmas. However, that is not the main focus of why I am writing this. The true reason is this: The twenty-fourth box finally provided me with boots that increase Watchful, in this case being the Meticulously Altered Stockings.

Now, the reason I am so happy about this is because I picked the Unobtrusive Bowler Hat when the Mysterious Benefactor came 'round, so until now I had no way of increasing my Watchful quality through boots.

THANK YOU FAILBETTER GAMES, AND A MERRY WHATEVER-MAS TO ALL!

Yup. Of all the advent gifts that I received this gear and the Rat of Glory are the most memorable.

It’s traditional, too! you get one this time every year!

This is my third Christmas playing Fallen London and I’m still a bit bitter that I missed the first Advent Calendar due to ignorance.

I would have loved a second Rat of Glory and Silent Soul.

Worth noting that there is a way to reliably obtain Silent Souls, although it is Fate-locked. PM me if you want the details.

Indeed! Now if only I can figure out how to wear the d–n thing.

Don’t bother trying to wear Rats of Glory, just wear a Hand of Glory. You can have a lit candle and a piece of equipment at the same time!

Challenge says &quotAlmost impossible&quot so I’m going to try my luck with wearing the Rats of Glory. I’m pretty sure the RNG will bless me one day.
