Yes, the Mysterious Envelope is an Airs-dependent option on the Feast of the Rose card.
The wiki estimates a 1% chance for the Rare Success, so it can’t really be used to be betrayed repeatedly at will.
But it can be used to do an unadvisable thing twice!

Cheesing betrayals can be done with throwaway accounts so easily I don’t think a cheese in engine can be any more effective.
The Knock indeed locks the route NORTH, so there is no way to go back to the edge of disaster even if you get rid of “Freed from the Name”.
(The Seeking Road is also locked permanently once you set sail on the Expedition to the North).
So I will be limited to seeking as far as marsh mired dreams get me? That’s only half as intriguing…
