On sharing the endings: in my opinion people who turn back are just as worthy of receiving the doc as people who went all the way, and I say that as someone who went all the way on my main. I’d be happy to share the endings with anyone who’s completed Seeking, no matter what their choice.
Thanks for the compliments (putting on my wiki admin hat for a moment :-) ). I still have a little more than 1000 pages to purge the history of…
But the trimming policy of the wiki is not so much to avoid spoilers, but to adhere to FBG’s copyright requirements.
I can definitely see people who refrain from spoilers staying away from the wiki, since it includes the mechanical implications of actions, and at least some text (except where Fate locked, of course).
The Fungal One finally reached the 12th step of SMEN, and is considering asking an important question. I hear that to ask who Salt is you need to go to the Winking Isle first. In order to do this do I just need the Calling Card, or must I ask one of the other two questions first? Could someone send me a calling card if they no longer have need of one? Much thanks.
On Winking Isle you unlock the option to be able to ask who Salt is. There are a few more steps in addition to the ones you do for the other two questions (and a lot more items you’d need to have gotten rid of). The actual question about Salt you only get to ask much later - at a time when you would have been to Winking Isle to raise SMEN regardless of what you intend on asking.
You will need to ask one of the other questions until then (unless you used Day 9, I think, of Mr Sack’s SMEN option). But you are safe asking whatever, you can change it later.
You cannot actually do much on Winking Isle until SMEN 21.
Wait a second. Is the additional grinding on Winking Isle just to ask the Salt question (as in, to literally get the Question quality to 2)? Or is it required for the Salt ending in some other way?
In other words, can it be skipped by picking the correct option on Day 9, or is that option mostly inconsequential (other than the point of smen)?

You need a quality, The Sun beneath the Sea?, to ask Who is Salt. The quality is what you get on Winking Isle through the additional steps. You cannot get that from Day 9.
Thought so.
My seeker Desirée MacGregor is at the Chapel & the dang game fell over before I could read, cap or echo the third lesson. If anyone wouldn’t mind sharing I’d be much obliged.
Thank you kindly!
I’m a relatively new member of the cider club and I’m about to head to the nightmare carnival. Does anyone know if there’s any interaction between having a cider and ABOVE THE NEATH?
All the flavor text I’ve read makes it sound like cider is the only way to survive on the surface and this looks like it might be the closest I’ll ever come, but I’d rather not blow the fate on getting scorched if there’s nothing there.

I am 99.9% sure there’s nothing there that’s different if you have Cider.
My Seeking character just became a POSI and is at lv 11 of SMEN, other than grinding appalling secrets is there anything I should be doing?
D___. Still, there’s no one whose opinion I’d trust more.
It just sends you directly to the slow boat, so you can use the Cider to return faster, but there’s nothing special. (If you do still choose to do it, note that in addition to lowering stats it also wipes your Second Chances, if you have something to use them on.)
It also wipes all Notability. Something to keep in mind.
These are all extremely valuable things to keep in mind, thanks.
Lovely way to spend some Fate! :) Can’t wait to pick it after I get my frigging soul back!
Alas, Tyler Glen has gone North, determined to Hate. And Hate he did.
So, I would really appreciate if someone could show me the other two endings. I saw an echo which I believe was the result of Grieve, but I am really curious about Salt.
Now that I’ve finally reached Winking Isle… I understand. I understand why everyone hates this place, despite the apparent wealth of lore it contains. May the RNG be merciful, and may the Judgements smile upon me this day.
Aren’t we not supposed to share the endings in echoes? I certainly don’t want to be spoiled.
Edit: Also, the game breaks if you try to echo "An occurrence! Your ‘Fasting and Meditating to a Foolish End’ Quality is now 55 - Empty!" Presumably this is semi-intentional, as the text, is, you know, empty.
