Find quotes? I look on the wiki or somewhere else with part of the text (in this case the SMEN google doc), google it, and get the link from whoever’s profile comes up.

I’ve seen in a couple of places (both here and on reddit) that the last few points in SMEN (after 63) can be done by repeatedly sailing South. I don’t have this option in the list, however (still have the Hollow Heart). It disappeared right after I passed it the first time. I can only go to the Chapel of Light, although there’s nothing for me to do there anymore.
It definitely was possible. You’d do exactly the same thing as you did to go south the first time and you could gain a point per cycle.
Maybe they changed something? I would doubt that, since they’ve remarked they’re not going to mess with SMEN because it was Alexis’s and he’s gone.
I just finished Seeking and got the Who is Salt ending! If anyone has the Grieve/What is Forgotten or Hate/What is Due endings recorded somewhere, I’d love a PM about them! (I’m very into getting All The Lore.)

Apologies if this question has already been answered in some form, but I’m looking for some guidance in choosing which question to ask when I go NORTH. My character is currently at 73 SMEN and is working on the accursed Notability grind for St. Destin’s Candle (since they have nothing better to do before Hallowmas). They have a very strong anti-authoritarian streak (the Liberation of Night intrigues them), but they seek forbidden knowledge above all else. So…Hate, or Salt?
I’m inclined towards Salt, but I’m scared that the ending might be too oblique to satisfy me (I’ve not reached any of the Salt content in Sunless Sea because I’m really bad at Sunless Sea, but what I’ve read seems incredibly vague). Should I chase these secrets, however elliptical, or should I revel in the catharsis of the Bazaar’s potential destruction?
Without spoiling anything, Salt is obscure as hell. Like, really obscure and vague and "Okay but what". Hate at least has a chance of making sense; it most definitely makes sense.
Just go East in SSeas instead and it’ll be more satisfactory. [Or read spoilers.]
As for North, pick Hate. It’s a lot more satisfactory.

If you’re Seeking the Name, then focus on the Name and Mr Eaten. Don’t let yourself be fooled by distractions. Those only get in the way of The Name.

I really, really like the Salt ending (and it actually suits my character better than the one I picked), but it won’t give you definite answers, and it won’t make much sense at all without knowledge of Salt lore in SSea. So I can recommend the Salt ending on the basis of being unexpected and interesting, but Hate sounds more like what you’re looking for.
