Long story short, I never did end up taking that “chat to other visitors” option- I got ejected from the dream before I could.
Is there any way to get back?
I have never found a way (oh such delicious dreams). I would recommend a bug report and see what they say. I know you can reset your ambition but that seems a weighty cost if you can find another path to take.
