Reading Unread Topics

I’m new to the Forum and I have 28 unread topics. This doesn’t seem like a lot, but I know eventually that I will have hundreds of unreads. Whenever I read an unread topic, It doesn’t subtract one from my unread topic list. I don’t want my unread list to build up too high, so I want to know if there is a way to mark them as read.

Correspondence fluency and learning the Name are both easier tasks than understanding when and why the unread topics number resets. My personal theory is that it has been hijacked by a certain hostile RNG, but it’s nothing I can prove.

You need to comment on one of the topics or show some activity on it to remove it. I just use recent posts honestly, easier to track and more reliable than the unread ones.

I have thousands of unread topics.

It’s no big deal, unless you don’t log in every day (or nearly every day). If you do, you can do what Honeyaddict does–look at the &quotrecent posts&quot tab. Or you can do what I do (which is read only the Topics on which the most recent comment has been made, and in which I’m most interested).

Thanks for the replies! I got it now. :)
