Well, now that I’m back to grinding to re-overcap (something I took a one-point ding in by mistake) so I can continue towards PPness (even though I’ll probably never make it before the rules change), I’m at a point where I can either spend a fortune on knives for my ambition or go to the goat market. But I’m wondering which path will be most rewarding (even if only emotionally) in the short run.
Does anyone have advice on frittering away my filthy lucre?
Completing ambitions always gives some nice rewarding feelings. I don’t know if that’s “short term”, depends how close you are to finishing it.
As someone else who did the “one-point ding in by mistake”, I suggest making full use of the fact you can go to the Nadir again every week, and benefit from all the fun stuff you get there while slowly losing levels in all stats. Or quickly if you go full-on with the irrigo I guess.
Might as well get the most out of blowing 15 notability to restore things - seems wasteful to do that for just the one little ‘ding’.
And good lord, yes, do your ambition! I have now finished Bag a Legend and Light Fingers on my drunkards, and they were both amazing, and very different, and give quite decent rewards, though it does eat up lots of resources.
