You only get the Glimpse of Anathema after the Stacks route of getting your Soul back. I just got my Soul from a Surprise Package (after the new Stacks option was added/discovered the other day), and the “What Profit?” card only paid the Fabulous Diamond for me.

Two additional notes about Deliveries:

  1. The Queen Mate delivery is much more profitable than the other three, since the input item is worth 25€ instead of 62.5€, while the rewards are the same. But getting a Mate delivery is a 25% random chance with no (known) way to influence the roll.

  2. The Duchess-to-Arbor delivery has an additional opportunity cost that reduces the profitability: all input items can be sold to the Rat Market, while the Duchess rewards cannot be sold directly to the Rats.
    If you start the Delivery in Arbor, instead, at least you trade a Ratkettable for another Ratkettable.

In conclusion, profit seems to be tuned for mid-level players, but they will have more trouble sourcing the input items efficiently.
The main attraction of Deliveries is the lore, but the activity is gated behind drawing the Arbor card so it will take some time to collect all the text variations.

Weirdly enough, I (having recently and unexpectedly got my soul back from a surprise package) drew that same card earlier this evening, and then spent about 15 minutes digging through the wiki to find anything about it since I don’t think I’d ever seen it before-- or if I had, it’s been years.

I didn’t resell my soul, so I don’t know if the option’s different for the apocryphal soul vs. the real one, but if I manage to draw the card again maybe I’ll take the plunge once more.

I did exactly this, and it is different. The Stacks/Apocryphal soul pays out in the new/larger amount and the OG Soul regained from the Surprise Package only pays the Fabulous Diamond.

  • Fixed an issue in the Bazaar where the Buy or Sell button would become disabled inappropriately.
  • Improved guidance on character creation screen.
  • Appropriately rewarded Bag A Legend players who have become partial to Mr Fires.

  • Downtuned the difficulty of the Advanced Skill checks in ‘The Midnight Trade’.
  • Buffed a wide variety of trades at trading posts to be more competitive.
    • A Trading Post at Zenith:
        • ‘Interpret a roof-chart in relation to the ground below’ gives a greater, variable number of Surveys of the Neath’s Bones.
        • ‘Transpose a roof-chart onto the geography of dream’ gives more Glass Gazettes.
        • ‘Submerge some Relics of the Fifth City’ gives more Nightsoil of the Bazaar.
        • ‘Drown a Memory of Moonlight’ offers an additional Rumour of the Upper River.
        • The Panoptical Skull is now worth 60e when affixed to a skeleton.
          It is now possible to purchase a Violant-Filled Mirrorcatch Box.
    • The Scribe at the Oriel Window:
        • Commissioning tragedies and comedies now costs one fewer Glass Gazette and Apostate’s Psalm respectively.
    • Those Who Descend:
        • ‘Regale him with an intrigue of power against power’ offers two additional Extraordinary Implications.
        • ‘Tell him a story of an unfortunate loss’ offers two additional Aeolian Screams.
        • ‘Offer him the services of a Lost Research Assistant’ grants additional Surface Currency.

  • You can now get struck by lightning in the Upper River as well as London.
  • Fixed an issue with the Crystalline Fecundity quality’s visibility.
  • Players with an Enhanced Exceptional Friendship may also unlock past Exceptional Stories via the Account menu, under Subscription.
  • Our statement on AI has been moved to a more prominent location.
  • Players looking for someone to participate in Social Acts with them are now directed to those places where players tend to congregate online.

Oh, that’s a thing I knew. I was just looking for punny and out-of-box-thinky ways to implement that that could lead to something unexpected.
