I have at last achieved Ubergoat! … How the heck do you get a Heptagoat.
It is achieved by the breeding of 7 Übergoats.
If you equip your Übergoat, I can add you to the list.
Well, it’s taken a while, but I finally have Folly back to go with Folly²!
Incidentally - would this be the correct notation for a Heptagoat? I’m never quite sure how exponents work in combination.
No actually, because that would be 2^7 Overgoats, or 128 Overgoats. The Heptagoat only costs 14 Overgoats. 2^7 is a full 9 Heptagoats and then some.
The way exponents work in tangent is pretty simple, it’s just 2 to the power of 7, you pretty much just ignore that the 2 is an exponent temporarily and treat it like any regular old number.
An Heptagoat would be 7^1.3562 Overgoats. Or 2^3.8 Overgoats if that’s the way you wanted to spin it.

I’d actually intended for the superscript to be 2(7), which would (surely??) be 14. Weirdly, all the superscript characters in (7) look… more superscripty than 2 in FL’s Mantelpiece font (Droid Serif). Viz: ²⁽⁷⁾ - but, ah, this doesn’t display weirdly in Lucida Sans. I guess ⁷⁽²⁾ would be clearer? On the other hand, it looks less elegant!

Oh! Well, my misunderstanding then! 2(7) is indeed 14, as I said, exponentials just act like normal numbers when being moved about. Oh, this is semantics, but as an Overgoat is one thing, Overgoat^2(7) is still just one, because it’s 1111111111111*1. Anyways. I’m just going to back to petting my Starveling Stole and looking upon my lonesome Overgoat from afar.
I finally convinced myself to part with enough stuff to buy an Overgoat.
It was probably good for me to part with all of that stuff.

Since we are asking, Ubergoat is 2 Overgoat’s and 1 fate, nothing else, right?

Thank you for the information :).
Today, Musicaux has earned the right for his name to be displayed in these here hallowed halls - and would like very much to do so - with his very own Overgoat.

After discovering Fallen London through the Sunless Sea many months ago, around the time of the Feast of the Exceptional Rose, and exploring the 'Neath both in London and abroad, finally, through a feat of concentrated effort and impressively good luck in investigating one after another Fidgeting Writer, Kilrathi was able to welcome an Overgoat-to-be-named-Later to his ever-growing menagerie.
The cost for the goat was rather dear and supplies once numerous are a bit sparse now, but guided by the 'goat, he’s hopeful that the coffers, armoires and storage places for things long-hidden will soon begin to fill again.
My Caprine Authority has reached 2…
This year for Christmas I bought myself an Overgoat. I wonder if it likes Mulled Wine.
I too am now one of the goated. My hoarding habits are most of why it’s taken so long - according to the Goat Farmer Extension, I have more than enough echoes of goods to buy a second goat this very minute…
I appear to be caprinely endowed all of a sudden!
There is a goat in my home. I do not know why, and have little desire to force the issue with the beast. Perhaps it will prove useful…
I am now the (proud?, terrified? delicious?) owner of a overgoat. such a shame. it should be equipped- though no promises, if you take a while- i keep needing to swap gear.
I have an overgoat! Huzzah!
Courtesy of An Individual, I was made aware that I do in fact have enough spare materials to trade in and purchase on Overgoat.
It is presently lounging upon my mantelpiece. ^_^
