You’ll get there - so long as you keep following the University and then the Solving Cases stories, you can’t miss it!
not so much a mystery as a request for clarification: is the Bazaar considered to be the Spires and them alone, or is the mercantile area around them also considered a part of them? I ask because I am trying to reason out whether “Premises at the Bazaar” means that you own a lodging in the same area as the Bazaar Side Streets or if it refers to a location closer to the Spires themselves.
Here’s what we know about the Bazaar that makes that question difficult:
As seen earlier in this thread, the Bazaar is a celestial body. Also, it appears to be a series of Spires and such. Maybe part of it is underground, maybe it extends as far as the side streets go; regardless, it’s obvious that the size of something that could court the Sun doesn’t match up with the visible Bazaar we can see, so it might be a disguise or the result of some reality-bending/physics-changing power.
So you see why your question is difficult
While I agree with mr. Vimes answer, my personal opinion is that the Premises at the Bazaar are situated in the spires themselves, just above a shop located in the same zone than the various Bazaar shops providing direct commerce exchange - Mercury, Carrow’s Steel, Dauncey’s and the others - while the Sidestreets, in the immediate vicinity anyway (on the map the icon for the Sidestreets is located nearly right above the Bazaar), house the stores where you barter instead of paying in Echoes. It is also possible that the stores and other facilities in the Sidestreets are unsanctioned by the Bazaar, tolerated but not directly overseen by the Masters?
So is there a part of the Spires that is accessible by the public at large? I always assumed that the entirety of the Spires was completely off limits to the unapproved (as seen during Ascending the Reliables list of Mr Pages story, when the unfinished clay man enters “the gates of the Bazaar”, through which you cannot follow him).
also: has anyone, in any storylette, actually met Mr. Hearts? Considering it’s a Master in charge of a very vital part of London’s trade, I am surprised there isn’t more stuff concerning it.
Could this be another sort of Mirrors/Cups situation? is another Master masquerading and hiding as Hearts?
[li]
I always thought the shops were bundled all around the bottom of the spires, forming a whole. Direct access to the inside of the spires, however, is strictly regulated. There is probably some kind of aerial security too, though this doesn’t deter particularly sneaky/agile creatures (like the Overgoat) to be able to climb them from the outside. So, well, while the spires themselves are off-limits, shops and the lodgings above them form with the spires a collective place known as the Echo Bazaar. (This is wild speculation on my part, I can’t say I did any thorough research on the matter).
Bazaar… I’ve seen it digesting and then absorbing love stories; If “Mt. Nomad” indeed is the daughter of bazaar, then maybe it’s not only alive but is capable of movement (or at least Zwim); Maybe Bazaar is sorrowful of losing its daughter, to a degree that even its tears can deliever that sorrow - Maybe that’s why Bazaar constantly consumes Love Stories.
Also, a Zailor that may or may not be drunk said that Masters are Bazaar’s pet; They have deep relation or at least great understanding of The Correspondence; Is their ban of many items and knowledge is business monopoly, or control of secrets?; Feburary the Revolutionary might have killed one Master during Christmas, gaining its blood; Master’s blood have many unique features, one of them being a drinkable(?) “alcohol”; Masters also enjoy the taste of unique beasts; They value “Lacre” ;they have bad relationship with… That former Master. And there’s that business with iron box.
There’s a mechanical lift at bazaar; its floors are littered with rice-paper and bone of bats; its steps are designed for those with clawed feet; even 5 Mark of Credit won’t allow one to enter these spires, but merely(?) disguising as Mr.Sacks allow enterance.
Maybe we are already eaten by Bazaar. Maybe that’s why we are “Delicious Friends”.
[li]What’s Lacre?[/li]
Again, a clue released with the Nadir. In An Unlikely Garden, we’re told the Rosers were the enemies of the 4th city. When asked where the Rosers went we’re told: "Into lacre," she whispers. "Into the underpipes. Where even souls cannot survive (See:Dip a soul in it). Leave me to my roses. Leave me to my roses!" Is this why Mr Ironsacks and all the others avoided the lacre? What does this make Dark-Carapaced Crustaceans?
"SUFFICIENT GRIEF DESTROYS A SOUL. WARE LACRE."
Now that make more sense - "ware" means "Beware". Even though I knew that Foruth city woman and horrific experiment had relation, your explanation put it in clearer light. So, Tear of Bazaar is related to Lacre. Bazaar is suffering "SUFFICIENT GRIEF", it seems.[li]

With the release of the Nadir we’ve gained a clue.
The rare default here shows another. Could the drownies be dead people fed somehow with the Hesperidean Apple? I wouldn’t expect the peaches to give the same effect?
I think that fruit in question is this : http://fallenlondon.wikia.com/wiki/Pluck_something_from_the_water
"Why should one ware dreams more than mirrors?"
Mirrors are just portals for dreams to come through (like the fingerkings), I think! They’re not inherently dangerous in themselves, it’s just what comes out of them (and what they can be a portal to) that’s the problem. The huge and occasionally terrifying problem.
"Who was the Khan of Drums?"
tbh it’s most likely to be Mirrors b/c i don’t think anyone else is quite that cheerful barring Wines, and Wines already has his own confirmed title
[/li]
A different take on dreams and mirrors:
The Fingerkings’ capacity to do mischief through mirrors is sorely limited by the patrolling cats in the Mirror Marches. No such guardians stand between them and our dreams.
Though cats are generally just cats and wouldn’t care much anyway, I feel :|a i think they’re just dreams themselves (specifically the dreamselves/dreams of cats you’ve met in the Neath proper). The Is Someone There? dreamline does get pretty serpentine but it’s not like the other dream lines are any less weird (or dangerous, or creepy)
There is also the Thing in the Mirror! I have no idea what is up with that really.
so yeah i think mirrors are generally just portals (take it far enough and it’s probably why freaky eyes are the major tells for fingerking-possessed people - eyes are reflective too!) and it’s the dreams that come through them that are the real problem
Today, I saw a Rare Opportunity card at Bazaar side-streets.[li]
The Skin of the Bazaar

Wait, isn’t that the card that was called "Graffiti with a sting"?
EDIT: Nope, it’s different, though quite similar. Possibly an upgrade of the old Graffiti with a Sting card to make it more useful, possibly following the thread about useless Opportunity Cards?

Not that similar, really - Graffiti with a Sting is a language of Hell, and gives Watchful/Someone is Coming/Appalling Secrets or Loose Change/Counting the Days - mostly carousel qualities. The Skin of the Bazaar is advanced Correspondence, and gives Watchful/Scholar of the Correspondence/Extraordinary Implications - a rarer item and a boost to a linear quality.

I just had a realization:
Mr. Eaten was revealed to be Mr. Candles last time Mr. Sacks came around and the series of (assumedly) seven candles supports that. We’ve also heard hints from Nadir about the God-Eaters and much evidence has pointed to them being the ones who consumed the unfortunate master as appeasement, all of which involves the betrayal in the well. My point is, Mr. Candles was eaten.
What do snuffers do? Eat candles. Snuffers take souls. God-Eaters take something much greater. There may be a parallel here.
The question still begs though: What is the number exactly? Not it’s literal septious value, but the force which produces such insanity. What/Who is it? How did it come about and how exactly is it tied to the Eaten one? It was obviously more integral than his favorite number, so why does it linger? Why didn’t the number get eaten as well?
[/li][li]
- Where do Frost-Moths come from?
This one wonders too!
