Mysteries

There is also a bust of him in the heist areas. For some reason the art is the blind astronomer and the text implies he might look like that really.
So Albert is a zombie i guess. Thats my dusty and cliche hat thrown in.

10 correct, one joke answer. The joke answer was for Mr. Eaten so I don’t think I could have got it right if I tried.[li]

He pops up here and there, particularly when one is staging performances for the Court.
And it’s there that it gives more hints that he did end up dying from his illness if you choose a certain piece of music to preform as a symphony now that I think about it. I can’t remember which one it is however. Definitely not the one where you use a cannon and a platoon of riflemen as musical instruments.

It is the choral requiem?

You glance at the audience and see the Empress. She is staring, rapt, at the Consort. A single tear rolls slowly down her cheek.

Haah, I didn’t connect that the two were the same, but that completely explains why Hearts and Apples talk the same way. They’ve got a much more feminine affect than most of the others, as far as I can tell.

An I overly sensitive to these things or is there another puzzle in the mr eaten answer? Or does Alexis just have momentary Tourette’s?

Do you happen to have the text of that destiny that you could PM me? I went a very different way so I’d be deeply curious to see what you found there.

I am curious – like many others, I’d guessed that the number of people Mr Sacks had taken the first Christmas was 11. I now see that I’d rather underestimated the willingness of Londoners to leap into a sack. But I’d been going off this enigmatic series of tweets --[li]

Of course, there’s no reason to assume that when Stones said ‘eleven’ it was referring to the people in Mr Sacks’s sack. That’s not even the subject of discussion, which is instead the payment of the Masters’ due to Mr Sacks. The Incarnadine Robe content casts this exchange in a new light.

But what is Stones referring to, then? Is it simply the number of Masters? If so, why does Stones feel the need to remind Sacks how many of them there are? And what’s any of it to do with the promise ‘all shall be well’?
It is the choral requiem?

–snip–

That’s the one! Requiems are compositions that are meant for the dead and the dead only. Did a lot of digging in my main’s journal during her time when she was still there and the success text even notes that you don’t dedicate it to anyone in particular so the members of the audience can choose to do that themselves for somebody who ‘died recently’ with emphasis from me.

I find it suspicious that so far Albert seems to be okay considering he had typhoid and presumably kicked the bucket meaning the Masters/the Bazaar had to bring him back to life. Just a bit pale and looking ‘lost’ as other entries. Heck he still arranges parties and activities in the Court. Compared to others it makes me wonder if down the line we learn (hard way or nor) what’s wrong with him. Also sorry for needing to cut the spoiler out. I’m still unsure how to get two spoilers running in one post.

For Mr Stones reminding Mr Sacks there is only 11 – I suppose it could be a hint to the discord among the Masters as the Sackmas event revealed to us? Maybe there can only be only more as 11 Masters at the end of it all for some strange reason. The promise ‘all shall be well’ I guess is their investment because they’ve been doing this for centuries. No doubt it would get tiring for them to do this over and over again and repeating the words remind them of their goal and their endgame. (Whatever that is for the Masters.)
Definitely not Tourette’s. The significance… well, it’s Eaten-related, all right, but if it’s uniquely significant is anyone’s guess. I’m inclined to not, at the moment, but I would not be surprised to be wrong there.

All shall be we 11, and all shall be we 11, and all manner of thing shall be we 11?

I don’t get why the Masters are “kind of like bats”… in which sense? just because they speak in high pitching voice? I never saw a strong affinity between bats and the way the Masters behave…

They’re tweets from 2009, and they are the first interactions on Twitter between Masters - before those there were just several tweets by Sacks to various players, and a tweet hashtagged #echobazaar basically stating he’s starting his business (https://twitter.com/Mr_Sacks/status/7010759979). I suppose Mr Stones’ comment might just refer to the fact that now, with Mr Sacks active, the number of Masters was back to 11?

There are other hints too: the fact that they’re winged, clawed, and that London was stated as being stolen by bats are just the first ones that come to my mind at the moment.

And the wings, and the claw-like feet, and we can see one without its cloak on at one point, though it’s not obvious that’s what’s happening at the time.

Oh, also the Vake’s description, seeing as the Vake is basically Mr Veils going berserk without its cloak.

that seems to make sense except the vake-man is exiled in a cave…

that can only be accessed with a very specific kind of wine. could he be the bastard son of mister wines?! or an ex-master of bazaar like mister eaten, but he went batshit(pun fully intended) instead of of getting killed.

The spoiler function only works once, so if there’s already a spoiler in a message yo quoted or in another part of your message, any new ones will display in clear html form. That’s the reason if you’re quoting a message containing a spoiler, it’s better to not copy the spoilered part but just omit it or reformulate it so it isn’t spoilery anymore ^^

By the way, what do you mean with Vake-man? If you’re referring to the Vake proper, its actual identity has been confirmed and there’s actually a storylet that allows you to confront it in person on this issue.

Well-played, person who quoted The Princess Bride (per the digest).

Only 41 people got 14 or higher correct answers, wow. I feel all exclusive now.

Wow. I feel decidedly uncreative. I shoulda had more interesting answers.[li]
