Just in case someone is still interested, this is the reply to the 6th modification. I don’t have a screenshot or an echo, though, just this from the text file I saved my experience of the ES in:
Reversion
The story of your sixth modification causes the robed figure to fall silent for several minutes. “How interesting,” it finally says, its tone carefully measured. “I could learn much from you, it seems.”

Only last month, almost a year after playing through this story, did I learn that there are IRL freshwater eels that swim to the ocean to spawn and humans still don’t know 1) where they go, 2) exactly how they spend their time when they’ve gotten there, and 3) how the newborns find their way back to freshwater
