Lost my soul :( Effects on college storyline?

It fits my character though…she would totally keep meeting the devils trying to figure them out and study them for her own purposes and mess up and lose her soul! She’s definitely one for playing with fire so long as it’s only her own welfare that is concerned (and it is good to have the Intimate of Devils cards out of my tiny opportunity deck permanently, as much as I enjoyed their company!).

But I was wondering - there seems to be some kind of storyline involving connections with both the Benthic and Summerset Colleges. How will Aurelia being soulless affect this? Will she not be able to complete part of the story? I haven’t saved up enough expedition supplies to go on the expedition to the Tomb of the Seven yet so I haven’t accessed the universities yet. I know it will take a while to regain my soul, but should I wait on advancing things at the university? Or will I simply be able to access the Summerset stuff later?

You can complete the story, but an option or two regarding summerset will be locked off.

Ah, thank you for the reply! Hope I won’t miss out on much. Ideologically, my character is more on the Benthic side of things in any case but I still like exploring everything if possible.

If you want hedonist above 10, you are locked out of the best option until you regain your soul. No other real missouts.

Forge ahead at your own pace in the Forgotten Quarter. Being soulless will change nothing with regard to your archaeological career.

Being temporarily embarrassed of your soul locks you out of surprisingly little; mainly a few opportunities to progress Counting the Days. And of course, there are two Fallen colleges: Benthic doesn’t discriminate against the soulless. Or against students who are literally from Hell.

When you do get to the University, be aware that there are two carousels, both linked to the Term Passing… quality (this will not be relevant until you actually get to University). I mention it only because you will be locked out of the first carousel, and automatically progressed to the second one, immediately after Founding your own Department. I was far too hasty about this, didn’t get to read everything in the more light-hearted starting carousel, and had to glean it from other peoples’ Journals later.

Good to know, thanks!

Thanks for the heads up; I appreciate it.
