It appears the storylet in Ladybones Road for people trading in souls is now a card (why? why???) and it’s also BUGGED: it should increase your favours with Hell of a certain amount every transaction but it will DECREASE them (just lost 2 favours… for science and testing!).

Thank you for another uncalled nerf of a fate-locked element that somewhat disrupt aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaall your game balance in a disastruous way.

I wonder if there’s a change coming soon to make hell favors significantly more valuable, like the change that preceeded the nerf to the Shepherd of Souls card.

According to patch notes (which haven’t made their way to the forum), the card now grants up to 3x Hell Favours. Perhaps they’re tweaking it to more closely resemble the Shepherd’s card?

I don’t think it was so necessary. But I hope at least that it’s not location locked?

And now it’s back to be a storylet and not a card. What’s happening?

According to the Patch Notes on Discord, it was reverted in response to player feedback. No mention is made as to whether that is temporary or what may happen to it downstream. I suppose I should unload a bunch of souls before it becomes tedious.

I don’t think I’ve ever gained a favour on this storylet. I have three options open (good deal: 100, solid haul: 1000 and connoisseur’s bargain: 1000) and just tried them all again - no favours. Is there another option?

Is there another option?[/quote] I think they just forgot to get rid of the new game instructions, especially as it says &quotOptions on this card can raise your Favours: Hell by up to 3.&quot Although, it’s not inconceivable there’s a rare Favour result as in the Ealing Gardens’ Spa (5% chance of a favour on that one based on 88 recorded attempts and supported by one of the commenters).

Thanks, Elderfleur! Incidentally, I broadly agree with your 5% on the Spa as well, as I’ve had the Favour there more than once. I think you are right about the Hells Fence, sadly, as my baby alt uses it a lot - Spa Services and Hell’s Fence are her primary grind towards a second goat. She also has the Hell statue at Ealing Gardens, so getting the Favours as a by-product would have been the icing on a somewhat infernal cake!
