You should be checking against the 36 confessions (assuming 1 per spirit) that you have given, though. Not the 2 confessions that you have taken. The requests in your inbox that you are accepting are the requests for you to give confessions.[/quote]

I wonder could anyone tell me what would happen to any Confessions that you don’t Consign or Bury before Hallowmas draws to a close? My contacts list was getting a bit unruly, so I (perhaps foolishly as this is my first Hallowmas) deleted quite a few of the contacts I had added throughout the event. I’m now stuck with 46 confessions (currently) and no eligible contacts to interact with when I try to Consign a Confession to the Bazaar.
Any advice as to how I can proceed from here?

Only so many messages show up in the messages tab, but, as far as I know, they’re not actually deleted unless you choose to delete them. Ergo, if you delete the messages saying that you consigned confessions, the messages saying that you heard confessions should reappear. You can then check the names in those messages against your contact list.

Re-add them as contacts and see if you can accept them then.
I certainly won’t be reaching 500 spirit this Hallowmas (more in the 100-200) region. Could anyone who has previously been through the festival advise what advantages might be (if any!) of having say, 150 spirit over 50 spirit? ie are there earlier benchmarks/cutoffs or do you have to reach 500??

There is no guarantee that the rewards and levels of spirit needed will be the same this year. We’ll all just have to wait until Mr Huffam comes around :)

Did you send confessions of whimsy or pride? if you sent non-posi requests (any single-menace request, labled with a stat icon) you can’t reach confessions # >6, and you can’t bury more than six confessions. after that they blur in a bland mire of uninteresting facts.

I unfortunately discovered this after accepting like, 10 poisonings or something. I needed the space in my messages tab…
I’ve been following a technique of sending out a new Menace as soon as the last is used, to avoid spamming inboxes. I don’t know if it is the best procedure, but it does avoid both sending 10 poisonings to someone who only needs one, and clogging the letter-box.

Oi. Either I appear to have miscounted before or fallen London had strategically hid several of my requests, but it seems that I have about 50+ more confessions to take care of than I originally counted.using my current methods that will take me about three days to complete.
I’m delighted to report in that I’ve completed my confessions and I’m firmly on the path to 500 spirit. Am now deciding between consigning and burying. Sorry for flogging a dead horse, but can a consigned confession really be devoured the following year? I don’t see how the text of consignment option allows for it.
It can definitely be devoured in the next year.
with the actions I’ll have in the morning, I’ll be caught up on consigning confessions and giving pride.
Wimsey will take a touch longer.
I’ll have to remember, next year, to ask people not to whimsey me.
You just need some scandal dupes - instant 3 scandal. Then put on a Pirate hat and go give some public lectures in the Forgotten Quartet. Depending on if you can get your watchful low enough to fail it will take 3 (if you fail) and 4 (if you succeed) actions.
I must say that next year I will try to concentrate on receiving either Whimsy or Pride. With the alts I’ll do the same and then the Whimsy ones can send poison and the Pride ones scandal dupes to help clear the confessions as quickly as possible:)
I personally favour whimsy because it’s free to send scandal dupes, so even a low level alt can send them along. Poisonings need abominable salts, which need enough foxfire candles to make. Plus you get a boatload of connections from suspicious lectures. I think it wins all round.
I requested Pride this year because I focused on Whimsy last year. Of the two, I definitely prefer Whimsy and I’ll be doing those next year, for the reasons navchaa mentions.
I’ve accepted all of my queue and consigned all of my toothsome confessions (apart from one who betrayed me and I am dwelling what to do with it). But I still have 40 of my own requested unanswered.
As is, I’ve exceeded 500 but 750 is looking unlikely.
I am still confused about how this works. For example, let’s say I get 100 confessions. I have four options
Let’s say I decide to use only 80 of the confessions in either option 1 or 2. What happens to the remaining 20 confessions? Do they go waste or can I use it next year?
Talking of the next year, there are two options again
Which confessions can I retrieve and which can I devour? Are these the 20 confessions that was left out this year?
