Grinding Hell, Revolutionaries and the Great Game

Uh, I wasn’t even aware of that. Good to know, thanks :)[/quote]
Welcome! That’s the only GG connection grind available, but it’s not that great! Only 2 CP and some coins. I prefer raising Widow connection with 33-67 Airs and during this festival 0-25 offers the best option on the card!

My great game is at 371 (and I’m done grinding it). Got it mostly from drawing cards at ladybones road without a connected pet. A good amount of whispered hints and nevercold brass are recommended.

If I may ask, what card at ladybones raises connected the great game? I’ve been having to rely exclusively on the church conflict card.

These two lovely cards. Don’t think it’s such a big rush as I got to 287 using only the Wry Functionary from visit (offers best EPA if you just chose to increase the level; convert CC to diamonds), Church CC, Sulky bat card and less important are the Nadir and Steamer cards.
I chose to draw cards in the Flit (lovely card there) and I have the Dock pet (lovely EPA there as well)!

My Great Game is at 785. (It’s my favorite connection.)

Skinnyman is correct. The valuable secrets card certainly lies about its frequency (it’s probably Ubiquitous) and was the heavy lifter for my grind. The nevercold brass turnin was okay but I stopped doing it after a while since getting brass in good quantities is so difficult. It’s fine to do if one already has a ton of it, though.

I’ve been grinding my Connected: Hell recently in a bid to get it at Renown: 50 when the conversion happens. How high do you think it needs to be to get converted to the max? I’m thinking between 375-400. Higher, maybe?

421 is probably a safe bet. 471 if you’re paranoid or just want to be absolutely sure.

Urchins were 371, and they were harder to grind.

I certainly hope it is not that high; I have been grinding ever since the connected conversions started, and I have only made it to 180.

Well, that’ll get you through the first two stages at least- it won’t give you the bragging rights of 50, or the best-in-slot that 40 has always offered to at least match- but it’ll get you to 28 cp per 7 favors, which isn’t too shabby.

I mean, you must have been distracted, I’ve been grinding it far less and I’ve hit 321 from 0? Unless you mean since urchins, maybe?

If you’re grinding here anyways, you might want to just wait until post favors conversion. 25 cp per two loops isn’t going to get renown 50 very fast, and unless you’re really attached to renown 50, it’ll probably be more effective post-conversion- maxing a favor type costs around 360 favors, and that’d only be the equivalent of 180 levels great game.

I have been grinding cards only since the the transitions started; I guess the RNG hates me.

Aside from conflict cards, cards are often worse than storylets for hell. It’s an 8 action 90 cp cycle (11.15 cp per action) to turn in casing if you have a gang of hoodlums, which is better than the faction card (10 cp).
