Gone Mad From The Revelation: Nightmares 41!

That bug was fixed! Now, if any of your menaces reach 8, they will autofire regardless of whether or not you press ‘Try again’ or ‘Onwards’. Sitting in a storylet, not doing anything, and accept social actions will work around this though.

Uh, so, the option caps at nightmares 20: http://i.imgur.com/KgEjR2X.png (nightmares were at 23, this also confirms the extraordinary implication range is 1~Current Nightmares, which is neat.

Does it act like Taste of Lacre with increasing past the cap if starting below? Also that only confirms you can get Implications up to 20 rather than current nightmares if you had 23 :P

Damnit, you’re right, more experimentation clearly needs to be done.

Presumably, the option still operates at Nightmares 20.

I know it is only tangentially related but I can confirm that as of a few minutes ago you can progress from Nightmares 20 to 21 in the Mirror Marches. (I know it’s the slow, grindy, way to go mad, but as I’m exploring to see if there’s content in here at high Nightmares . . . well, here I am.)

So, probably not germane to the Nadir Nightmares stuff, but we can say that there’s no absolute game-wide limit in going beyond Nightmares 20 w. CP.

Yeah, I tried that when you suggested it. It cut me off too, sadly :(. Still, I’d like to see if there are other ways to boost Nightmares at such a fast rate without just repeatedly spamming a single button to boost it up.

I can definitely attest that spamming the “Walk away from the Temple” button interspersed with a tiny amount of opportunity cards is not the most interesting way to go insane…

In fact it’s probably the dullest.

I highly don’t recommend it. (Unless your point is to explore the depths of the Mirror Marches rather than be at a particular level of Nightmares, like myself.)
