I’m noticing as per that wiki link that you can’t change your specialization if you’re a Paramount Presence. Ofc that could just mean there won’t be a paramount presence, but also could have implications on its eventual usage
Just occured to me: if you overcap everything, and the Nadir takes points away from you, do you have to go through the entire grind again or is the upper limit set at 215? If the former is the case, it more or less bars you from the cave - right?
If you want to retain your overcapped stats you need to stay away from the Nadir, as well as from any other stat-reducing actions.
Any normal actions which raise stats can only do so up to 200, no matter if you’ve overcapped.
It’s precisely this which has kept me from ever enjoying the content in the Nadir. I’d heartily welcome a change.
Ah, I love the Nadir. Tempting as the grinding would be, I would not give up on sampling its atmosphere weekly. Pity!
Just throwing in a little detail: I’ve gone into the Nadir overcapped. On exiting, I lost some of the stat, but it was still at an overcapped level. I could not (and cannot) raise the still-overcapped-but-not-as-overcapped-as-before stat through normal actions.
If you want to overcap it again, you’ll need to gather the Notability again

And now there’s “London’s something” options at each Unfinished Business for each overcapped stat, requiring even harder to achieve things.
Guess we’ll have to wait for someone to gain all 4.
I have a sneaking suspicion that a character that simultaneously has 215 in ALL stats and all four of the relevant new qualities will be able to meet the Ambitious Barrister at a stat-neutral location (either Lodgings or Bazaar Side-Streets, I imagine) and become a Paramount Presence.
Ideally, being a Paramount Presence would allow you to do everything any lesser specialization can (so you could be a Patron for any stat, for instance).[li]

Or it’s just teasing.
I just spent my Notability, and now find my crew cannot spend Notability to restart my Notability treadmill. Seeing as getting the full 215 cap takes 20 Notability (5 to select a specialty and 15 to get the top level), this is unfortunate.
Update: 10PM the next day, I finally drew the card.

It’s quite the grind, yes. You’ll have to wait for the amanuensis card.
“my crew” sounds like implication that somebody else was trying to give him the first notability point again?
