Feast-Time!

The Feast falls fast upon us! How do you hope to spend the season, delicious friends? Going from revel to revel, partner to partner, in an ever-whirling waltz? Seeking enlightened culture and conversation in the city’s poetic and scientific salons? Or perhaps you intend to throw your mask into the ring, so to speak, and fight the Fights of the Exceptional Rose?

And what will you be wearing? Do share, delicious friends!

Ooo, did you say fights?

Right now my character is wandering around the carnival, dancing and eating hot peppers until he throws up, but fights would be right up his alley :P

Anatasia is going to sample the revels from poor to posh, hoping for someone to court her, while Kelly tries to solicit urchins from their old gang.

Neither of them are dressing up for the festival. Anatasia is in her usual blue gown with weapons and Kelly is too much of a cheapstake to dress up.

Trying to take advantage of the season- looting love stories from anyone i can- while keeping my wards from… i’d say being taken advantage of, but truth be told, they’re more likely to rob someone blind than anything.
ideally, if i keep them busy enough working on… certain projects of my own…and offer them a sufficient cut, they won’t overextend themselves.
I don’t want any of them to wind up fed to the drownies, thank you very much.

Looks like poor Flesh-Stick is having terrible luck with any non-carnival related Feast activities. So far he’s gotten three booby-trapped boxes of candy and a “love” poem that turned out to be some sort of threat. It’s both hilarious and kinda heartbreaking to RP :P

Dressed in our finest and painting the town red!
Evensong would love another friend, so we have been working hard to make this feast impressive for anyone new in town.
(Getting my masquing up for hopefully new companions this year. If there isn’t anybody knew, then I’ll just go for getting some of the fate-locked ones.)

Mostly business as usual for my main and my alt, though they’ll return non-Fate gifts as best they are able, and will look in on the festivities from time to time. “Business as usual” for my main is currently heists, and for my alt includes rolling drunks in Spite–an unexpectedly profitable activity under certain London airs.

Pyro will be clad in stylish Bombazine which can easily hide his harpoon er… walking stick. Yes! walking stick. He’s currently touring the carnival with his daughter and his Glassman fiancee who are busy sizing up each other er… I mean engage in lady-like conversation.

Rudolph is in its recently washed clothes! Yay! They also got lots of bats out of the carnival so… more pets!

After she’s doing hosting the Fights of the Exceptional Rose, Lamea will be all over London in a mask decorated with sea shells. People will want her to introduce them to handsome and beautiful devils, they’ll want love readings, they’ll want invitations to balls. In her off time, she’ll enjoy Mrs. Plenty’s Perfumed Pleasure Garden, perhaps all the more for the awkward mixed Orientalist stereotypes present there.

While a harlequin costume is always acceptable, I think I’ll go for something less traditional. Accordingly, I’m going to adopt a British Warm overcoat, a curly brown wig, and a long, multicolored scarf and go around asking if anyone has seen my police box.

Now, what’s this about Fights of the Exceptional Rose?

Maria will get her old dress out of the wardrobe and will dance either if it is the right person or for cover.[li]

Rysiek, well, it is hard if not impossible to get him out of his ancient suit. As always, he will carry his derringer in his pocket. But hr will look for a partner.

A fighting tournament. The list is closed and the fights have begun, but people can still spectate, and there will be mingling after the tournament is concluded. There’s no rule that people can’t fight after the tournament, either.
