The newsletter from @HannahFBG today says “We’ve put something in Fallen London this year that nobody has found and played yet. Perhaps you’ll find it? (If you do, will you tell the other players? They’ve started a Document)” so it’s maybe not an object/not just an object? Also, does anyone have a link to the document?
Oh damn, it didn’t even cross my mind that it didn’t have to be an object until today :0
Also here’s the link! Trinket Hunting - Google Docs
There are eight Witsun eggs, so Chtonoscopy does not fully count yet (and Steward is a secret of a sort)
Next Whitsun, we’ll be hatching an Even Older Egg and No Egg.
Gentlemen hatch their left egg and right egg.
I have a new guess for the yet-undiscovered trinket, but it is a bit of a spoiler for Firmament & Procession.
Something unlocked by Aeolian Sensitivity or Chirurgucal Touch
Something’s going up in the wiki! Haven’t verified it myself yet but if so… very cheeky ;). It completes a player theory from more than a decade ago! Collect all the ravens.
Okay, now I’m very excited. If only I didn’t have to rely on card draws to get there.
Time to buy five of them and keep close track of what I’m doing.
Argh, great timing for the discovery… Right after I liquidated my huge pile of useless Primaeval Hints
.
At least, my Focused Resurrectionist will be back tomorrow with a new pile of Hints. I still need to draw the card 3 more times anyway…
Oh, this makes me very happy.
I was already collecting the ravens for role play reasons, so I’m only one card draw away!
Confirmed that having one of each raven unlocks a new option on the primaeval hint. This includes the basic raven. All the ravens combine into a flock and get you a raven-flock agent, which has an expensive plot it can do, which presumably leads to something else.
Nice! I already had them all except for the basic one you can buy.
Edit: Plot costs a Cartographer’s Hoard and takes 500 actions. It doesn’t list any challenge though, so I guess you don’t need to give them gear. Well, lets see what the return is.
The key here is presumably the original one, which comes with the annoying card. It was the only raven I got rid of when I assembled the unkindness (flock? are we sheep?)
Let this be a lesson for all of you deck optimizers out there.
adding myself to the list of people who had almost done this and then stopped one step short (though in my case the missing raven was because I had two unscrupulous ravens and no devious)
So, is this the hidden thing that no one has found for months? It’s not exactly a “trinket” though, is it.
Well, the Ravens are out on a Plot to receive something. And Ravens are notorious for liking trinkets…
Looks like the wiki has been updated and there actually is a challenge on the plot. Its on one of the unique stats that the ravens have. According to the wiki its a 50% chance, which would suck to fail since it costs a Cartographer’s Hoard to attempt the plot. And guess what you get if you succeed? The raven agent gets replaced with another raven agent which you can send out again for another Cartographer’s Hoard. This is going to be very expensive.
This is the funniest possible result because it means now if you want a “complete” set of Ravens you have to collect the previous “complete” set multiple times.
