My top pick was the rubbery handbag, then the desk (I know it’s redundant but it’s SO COOL). There seriously wasn’t an item on the list I didn’t want this year, which hasn’t happened since the red science bathtub and the books that are literally poisoned.

The reward storylet gets dismissed after you claim all rewards, so it seems unlikely that FBG will add more.
Barking is still available and still the best EpA grind in the game, so we can set ourselves the vanity community goal to take Misplaced Nostalgia as high as possible.
10M should be within reach; 12M might be possible if players don’t get bored of barking and the rate from the first two weeks is sustained.

I’m quite proud of myself with this one. I don’t know how quickly the game loads updates (so of course it’s unlikely that the numbering is entirely accurate), but my last contribution was within 50 points of 7,777,777, which is probably the closest I’ve ever got to making a ticker like this turn over.

Damn, this really makes me remember how fun all of the Estivals have been!
That said, replaying them all on top of each other like this shows the limitations of the replays; they’re efficient, convenient, a smooth tour through the story. Which is necessary, I think. But it contrasts hard with my memories of chaos and frantic enthusiasm, throwing actions at it all almost desperately, the sense of camraderie seeing everyone else do the same and/or exasperation at how fast everyone else found the clues. I do enjoy the way the the Waswood shows through or even dreamifies elements, though; they’ve put the effort in to make this a real translation with its own feel.
Thoughts on how the individual stories fared
Hell is Missing definitely lost the most from the translation; without all the participatatory and meta elements, it really can’t capture the absolute insanity and audacity of the original, that sense of utter upending of everything. With the original I was constantly laughing and saying “I can’t believe they did this,” out loud. The Waswood version is just a cool story, though it is still very much that.
The Pre-Lapsarian Exhibit and Grand Clearing-Out also lost a lot, since they had less intricate stories and were more activity-based, they feel much smaller and less emotional without the energy and effort and new mechanics.
I thought the Sixth Coil fared the best, the elements I’d had some issue with in the original don’t show up here, and the story and the details are maybe even more engaging than I remembered. The ending was positively haunting! And the Horticultural Show stayed very strong too; the action and the emotions of that incredible ending were almost as exciting as I remembered them. That thrill when the Masters showed up got me all over again! And the boat at the end.
Even though there wasn’t a lot of new content for this year’s not-quite-Estival, there were still a few new bits I liked worth noting:
-“If everyone has a drink, is it really a queue? Or just an elongated party?”
-“One of the puppeteers has clearly been practising the noises – they do a quite uncanny impression of time and space being forced through each other like sausage meat through a casing.”
-Getting the croissant heading!
Also, verrrrry intrigued by our new stone piggybanks. “Such a wonderful sound! Such a wonderful way to while away the afternoon!” seems quite ominous to me - maintaining delight from this for an entire afternoon is an excess of delight for putting a penny in a bank.

While the Museum building can’t compare to the original, I do really like how they Waswoodified it. Playing into how it’s a DREAM museum, so you can pick it up like a dollhouse, and just wander over to the sphinxes to get an armload of stone, was fun! And turning into a giant over the ushabtiu was a good moment. I wish some of the other Waswood versions did things like that - the Sixth Coil does, but if Hell is Missing or the Sink did they didn’t stick out to me.
And it’s really great to get to see all the different combinations of Victors in the Sixth Coil, too. I’ve just been trying different combos for most of this event.

It should be in the main estival storylet, near the bottom, iirc.
If you are referring to the place you can change your title you need to draw the Urchin card, pick “Change how Londoners address you” . The new title is this option -
“Eschatologist” You’ve spent a great deal of time contemplating London’s ruin, in the Waswood as well as in the comfort of your own mind.

I have 5 hours left to grind the last point of notability I need for a vial of Master’s Blood, then run through the Grand Clearing Out. That orphanage card never seems to show up when I need it the most…

The Waswood version of the Grand Clearing Out (Great Sinking) will appear in Waswood on some weeks. There’s no need to do it in Estival 2026.
All you need to do is play through each Estival instance at least once, get the rewards, spend your Estival tokens, and grind/farm Moon-Pearls (or something else).
