I’m once again at the point where I’m going to be able to nuke my Nightmares back down to 0 as part of my semi-regular Fate expenditure, so if people have Nightmares to send my way you’re welcome to do so.
(Having said that - my Scandal and, to a lesser extent, Suspicion are both starting to creep up. So if you’re able to assist with reducing either of those please let me know in the social action where you’re sending me Nightmares.)
I don’t know how much response I’ll get from this, if any, so we’ll see how it goes.
Please don’t send more requests for Nightmares reduction than you can actually benefit from - while it does help me raise Nightmares, it causes you to spend more actions than necessary and may prevent me from helping others if I do have a large number of people attempting to reduce their Nightmares in this way. :-)
[spoiler]If you’re uncertain of how many to send, the social action in your Lodgings named &quotFind a way to deal with your Nightmares&quot requires you have your Nightmares at 4, and will remove 5CP worth of Nightmares per action.
To copy+paste from the Wiki: &quotThe CP needed to raise any attribute a single level is typically the same as the level it’s reaching. To go from level 1 to 2 requires 2 CP, and going from levels 2 to 3 requires 3 CP. The total CP to move from level 0 to 3 is 6 CP since it’s 1 + 2 + 3. This means that even though an action dropping you from levels 3 to 0 looks like more of a hit than dropping from levels 6 to 5, they are in fact the same. This mechanic applies not only to main attributes, but also to menaces, dreams, connections and many other qualities.&quot
So if you have Nightmares 4 (total CP = 10), send two of the social action ‘Find a way to deal with Nightmares’.
If you have Nightmares 5 (total CP = 15), send three.
Nightmares 6 (total CP = 21), send four. (Etc.)[/spoiler]
Edit: If you can let me know that you’re sending me your Nightmares in response to this thread, it’ll also help me gauge how effective it has been. This is not obligatory of course, but is helpful. ^_^

I’ll send you two requests as I grinding in FQ to get a cinder, but want to keep them above 3 for a certain card. Regarding you other menaces I can provide an alibi for you 3-4 times.

I sent you some, anything you want to hand me for menace-reduction is fine, as I noted in the note.
I had intended this thread to be less of a "let me dump my menaces on you all", and more of a "please allow me to devour your nightmares, and if we can both benefit from this that’d be cool", but the sentiment is certainly appreciated.
I can take on a lot more Nightmares than I’ve received thus far - and I’ve got Time the Healer coming up soon too - so please don’t be shy about sending your Nightmares menace my way. ^_^

So far, so good. ^_^ Time the Healer passed through, and I can take at least 40 more requests for Nightmares reduction before I nuke them back down to 0 again.
As you wish! I’ll continue my grind in FQ hoping for better airs and more luck on challenges; that "either way" wasn’t that even at all! :D

I have a feeling you’ll be getting a lot of Nightmare Eating requests considering the return of SMEN, but since I need Nightmare reduction, might as well send an invitation.
Edit Oh, wait, that needs Sudden Insights…Annoying. Though it might save you from being drowned in requests from Seekers

Sudden Insights can be obtained by playing Chess with another player, using the social action found in your Lodgings.
(Note: I’m not advertising myself as the target for Chess requests, but that’s one relatively easy way to obtain them.)
Edit: Regarding the could-have-been Seekers using Find a way to deal with your Nightmares to send that Menace my way, that’s not actually a worry for me just at the moment, and they’re entirely welcome to do so. :-)

I can send you Nightmares, they’ve started to get a bit too high for my tastes, as I am working in FQ to get SotC. I can assist with Suspicion, but not Scandal. I am constantly flirting with that one, especially because RNG simply hates me in Court :(

I’m currently at Nightmares 2, and am in no risk of running into trouble anytime soon - especially as I can now nuke my Nightmares back to 0 twice without any hassle.
I’ll just bump this thread up a bit to mention that I’ll probably start sending more requests soon.
I’m in need of some Skulls to lower my Persuasive and Shadowy. The current gear can’t keep me in the max range of 118 for certain lovely cards. If asked, I only got a rare from the coffee.
EDIT: Nice job with the signature! If I’m not mistaking you are currently getting one every ~6 days; had 13 on the 13th of May.

It’s probably not quite that often - closer to three per month, although this is largely depending on how often I stock up on Fate, and gather supplies for the appropriate action.
Having said that, I’ve got enough supplies to drop my Nightmares to 0 again, so feel free to send more my way. ^^
Looks like I shall take up the offer(s) of Scandal reduction, after all. Flash Lays become significantly more difficult with Scandal 6. :-p

Hmm. I might do that next time (Scandal regularly creeps up for me, and my Connected: Duchess is through the roof in any case) though since writing that, I’ve had it drop back down to 5.
I’ll definitely have to read up on it, because I hadn’t previously considered that as a viable option.
PS- I can still take on more Nightmares, if anyone had some to rid themselves of. ^_^

Well, in short, getting sent gains 1 Favour and there are two cards in that very small deck which both grant Favours (as clearly noted on the cards). As you have to purposefully exit the TC (rather than get kicked out for the other menace areas) you can watch your card draws fairly easy.
The trickiest thing is managing Hedonist/Austere, as leaving with either over 10 with half the opposing stat.

(I’m at Hedonist 14, and am holding off on visiting the Iron Republic until I reach 15 because I’ve heard that’ll likely screw up my progress towards maximum Hedonism, but I can manage without the Austere quirk just fine. ^_^ )
