Do crows and rats have Parabolan lives, as well?

We know for certain that cats have their own other lives in Parabola, but what of crows, and rats, and bats? It seems as though they too would have some place in that other world. But I don’t know of any stories that ever even mention such a thing. It’s only ever cats.

Are there stories concerning this? If not, do you think they also have their own Parabolan forms?

Bats have a presence in Parabola. I think the Glass & Shroud storyline addresses this, and they’re also mentioned on one dream card, I think in the Someone is Coming sequence.

There are bird-like things in Parabola, including ones that take the shape of Ravens. I’m not sure any of them are actually Ravens, I think they’re all natives of Parabola in one way or another.

I suspect Rats do not enter Parabola. Their existence in London seems to be strictly mundane, and their only exceptional attribute is being sentient.

Not all rats are sapient. The Ratskin Suit in particular has a storylet associated with it where you discuss this with one of your associates. I don’t think we really know why it is that these rats are clever and others aren’t. The same goes for the cavies of Pigmote Island.

There was a Sunless Sea teaser storylet featuring the original owner of the guinea pigs who said he’d bred them over many generations to be intelligent.

Ravens appear in dreams as forum avatars.
