Kind of related to this topic, what about an option for people who purposefully want to remain single. Something like: committed to a quest for knowledge, or a thirst for revenge. Something to embody a character that has forgone committed relationships in pursuit of something else.
Clearly, an option to turn your Newspaper into a Spouse should exist.
The option to be “married to your work” would be pretty amusing. 
That or getting married to, like, your boat or something. Those would really be interesting.
Marrying your boat should only be available on Polythreme, of course.
