I’m sure they currently look like that : Ô_Ô

Fail Better people: are you going to add any funding goals, now that the primary goal has already been reached?

You mean Stretchgoals?
There already 3 Stretchgoals, 2 of them already achieved.
You can see them either in the second Update on the kickstarter page or when you scroll down the campaign page you can find them too.

It’s wonderful to see FBG get the level of support they deserve. Congratulations!!
You mean Stretchgoals?
Ah, so that’s what they’re called. I’m not that familiar with Kickstarter.

How long did it take Sunless Sea’s to get fully funded?

15 days I think.

A lot of people liked Sunless Sea it seems, or at the very least thought it was a good first attempt.

One thing that I’m really liking is the option to decide whether to have a new captain or not upon death (as opposed to fumbling in the options and then reloading a save). Mechanically it feels smoother and faster. I also really like the line &quottales of my death were greatly exaggerated&quot.

Oh, and having the world affected by the actions of prior captains permanently affect the world. I understand the rogue-like appeal of Sunless Sea but I also like being remembered and having an impact.

Well, we’ve passed 175K. I wonder if we’ll double the goal in as many days?

I think what truly astonished me was that all three of the £1000 pledges were gone within the first 100 backers. If I’m recalling correctly the three £2500 selections weren’t far behind. Even with the assortment of other kickstarters I’ve backed, seen, or been somewhat involved with, the very upper tiers like that frequently went un-selected.

Speaks volumes about how well-regarded and trusted FBG is to deliver great content.

And now to return to harbouring a (not actually real) bitter resentment that my self-inflicted Correspondence-on-flesh marking was not RTed on “the Twitters”.

lol, Engadget’s description of the game seems slightly…off :P
.
Sunless Skies will see you in control of an airship, soaring through the clouds and navigating both eldritch obstacles and enemies, but also the ambition of your competitor captains. If the previous titles are any indication, this is a deeply-written game with tons of lore, plenty of plot twists and pretty slick rogue-like mechanics.

For example, if you die when navigating the dangerous, elder-horrors in the skies above Victorian London, you’ll start again as a new captain. When you do, however, you just might be hampered by the choices you made in your first life.
^ Hah, yeah noticed that as well.

There’s actually a tv trope for this sort of thing :P

I just visited the site to make my pledge, and it looks as if they are very close to meeting their last stretch goal. Fabulous!

Smuggling has been achieved - just over £200,000 pledged.
