Christmas in Fallen London 2024

Oh, it did?

Ah, okay, it did. That’s where I got An Absence.

Question about Penstock’s WIcket.

If you don’t care for the Noman, if you’re not investigating, if you’re not concerned with the offered lodgings, which of the option is the best for using your Tastes of Lacre?

Search the shore,
Take the air,
Pilfer a large, mysterious box,
Deliver a panoply of stories to the lacre pools

Well, I got a single Memory of Distant Shores for Search the Shore, since I was stuck with 6 – 30% chance, so I wouldn’t recommend it.

None of the above.

If you only care about Echoes, the most profitable option is to exchange 7 points of Taste of Lacre for 1 Vial of Tears of the Bazaar on the Catafalquerie card in the Cave of the Nadir (~44.6€ per point of Lacre in the Nadir vs ~12.5€ per point of Lacre in the Wicket).

IIRC teasing elemental secret out of noman is not a bad idea EpA wise.

I’m at the point where I care more about SpA than EpA, so I don’t want to be distracted by action-gobbling side quests.

Also, entering the Cave (Casino?) of the Nadir is a gamble, non-discardable cards and you won’t always get what you want.

As long as you make sure of zero Nightmares (unless you don’t mind losing dreams), have played both the Daughter and have a tattoo, it is invariably profitable. I never miss it. And though the cards cannot be discarded, you can leave early (up to Irrigo 5) at almost no reputation cost (which is irrelevant for late players anyway).
It is also worth noting that Irrigo is necessary to play the new Zenith caroursel.

It is not, but offers a more accessible alternative.

Ah, I see I must have misread the Wiki (and its complex ideas about when to go). Of course I then went ahead and ignored it anyway.

Thanks for the clarification.

Laughed out loud at “Cave (Casino?) of the Nadir” . Thank you for making the day a bit brighter.
