A visit to an old soldier-friend of mine, and lo! there are eighty-thousand tidbits of information at my disposal. It turns out that a lot of nice things can be bought in London for information - including some tidy little rooms at the Bazaar.
Congratulations!
The information part makes sense. It’s just that with Whispered Hints, it’s sort of like buying a house with thirty million pennies.

I do pity Penstock’s secretary, having to verify everything individually. On the other hand, you’ve just given me a lovely image of, say, Mr. Pages trying to make change.
My third bat with attitude just landed on my shoulder! Doing the happy dance! I somehow got my first within 2 or 3 days of starting, got another not too long after, but it’s been a long, long dry spell since!
I just reached Scholar of the Correspondence 21 with the help of base Watchful 214, an Overgoat, a watchful destiny, watchful profession items, various other watchful clothing - and of course a watchful mood, for a total Watchful of 305. Now that I have SoTC 21, I have to decide what to do next. Save up for an Übergoat? Work on some other stat? Or throw everything away to seek the Name?
My eyes may be burning and have a permanent glint to them, but now I have 777 A Touch of the Upstairs About You and 777 Sun-Stamped Mirrorcatch Boxes.
A modest milestone. My personal library is now complete!

Very nice, dov!
I now have another long term goal. Thank you for sharing!
Fortunately, I was able to complete the poems and novels from court before was kicked out.
As I recall, you are still able to visit there.

Yeah, I refused to get kicked out of Court until there’s a way to return, or something really awesome down the line.
Now to the next goal of maximizing all 3 newspaper titles - only 8 more Whirring Contraptions to go (out of 165)…
Wow, dov! I’m truly impressed!

What about the Iron Republic Journal?
That’s another book that your character technically ‘writes’.

Well, technically yes. But it’s less a literary work.
The same could be said of your theosophistical research (and that unloved short story, too, if we’re being honest).
That notwithstanding, a most impressive collection.
I finally reached the end of the Fidgeting Writer storyline! This is probably my third or fourth attempt to plow through a few dozen Tales of Terror, and only the third time I’ve ever gotten a Black Lens (the first one I smashed for the bribe). The storyline payoff was worth the wait, and now I have a new item that I’ve never had before.
Travelogues were a popular literary genre at the time. Just because it’s non-fiction doesn’t mean it’s not literature.
For those who haven’t yet, I strongly recommend the classic Three Men In a Boat (To Say Nothing of the Dog).
Wow! Nice work!
After a year of playing ( Damn, is it a year already?) I finally drew a card to start my Dream of Chess.
The statement is true; I have a number of travelogues on the suggested topics list for my world lit students. However, I doubt that a recollection of the Iron Republic is going to break into literature any time soon; for one thing, it would first have to break into coherence and comprehensibility, neither of which may easily be obtained in the Iron Republic.
It took longer for me to get to the end of the Affair of the Box then it did to Seek.
And despite it being the best grind, I’m not sure I ever want to do it again. The Enigmas are nice though.
Whoever you are, just know that your unexpected gift and hilarious message made my day end on a very bright note :D

I just got a rare success giving me an eyeless skull in the forgotten quarter, two actions later I got the rare success giving me a nodule of pulsating amber. RNG is fair after all.
