Bug: Lethal duel turned into friendly sparring

I have a bug to report. Not really sure what the procedure for that is around here, or where the right place to post this is, so I guess I’ll just post it here.

Today I fought a lethal duel, except at some point for no apparent reason it transformed into friendly sparring midway though. Suffice to say that as the winner, I found myself rather disappointed. No coin purse, no ribbon, no nothing.

Here’s my message log, in reverse order of course:

I have no idea what this is about, haven’t seen it before. Has anyone heard of this kind of thing happening?

You should send the information you posted above (along with your character’s name, your name, and the type of operating system and browser you were using to play the game) to support@failbettergames.com . There used to be directions to this effect under a tab marked “Help”, but that seems not to be present now. Good luck!

The help page still exists, the link to it just moves around depending on how wide your screen is is, which makes it harder to keep track of. If you’re on a laptop it’ll generally be in the very top right corner, between &quotaccount settings&quot and &quotlog out&quot while on mobile it’s under the three barred menu, at the very bottom (again, next to log out - they both move.)

In short, the help page is in the last place/s anyone would ever look. An experienced player would not think to look in those locations because they’re so different from the prior set up, and new ones may be too busy dealing with all of Fallen London’s storylet choices to explore the interface. :-( My compliments to you for having found all the hiding places!

To be fair to FBG, all the common things one would do with the interface–playing actions, sending in-game messages, selling to the Bazaar–are pretty easy and natural to deal with, once you’ve figured out what the boxes &quotAlways&quot and &quotSometimes&quot on the mobile interface mean.

Yep, I did find those instructions and send them a message, but no reply so far. Doesn’t seem like they have any interest in fixing this.
