Interestingly, one can send two agents to war in parabola at the same time. At least if one of them is a cat. Not sure if intended.
Iām curious what happens when you leave an Agent in the Rat Market after it closes. Guess Iāll find out sometime tomorrow afternoon.
Still no sighting of the purported Rat Agent? ā¦cuz now Iām wondering if theyāll show up at the Feast.
Itās a tad disappointing that non-Fate players can only deploy two Agents at any time. While the others on the roster are rotting at the office. ![]()
Finished sending the big cat to my lodgings at the Bazaar:
3 Incunabula
2 Nightsoils
Could be rare success from a rare plots (like the one that requires a lucky success in a silvered and intelligencer plot to even get).
Or could just be planned for one of the upcoming festivals (FoTER, Whitsun, or even FoTZ in the summerā¦)
I got a regular result with nothing else. What about you.
Yeah, nothing special. Still wondering about the rat.
More waiting to find out what the opportunity is. On completing āChess, from a Distanceā I got The scheme is in readiness. Youāve unlocked a one-time new ending for the plot āA Disposable Networkā. Only another 500 actions to see whether this is worth it.
The wiki says two Mortifications of a Greay Power and four Legal Documents.
My Mole is off too! ā¦500 actions. Phew.
How does one get a Feline agent??? I havenāt seen a way to do that yet.
The only Feline agent came from Hallowmas.
So that is the way of it. Thanks.
I have to say, as I acquire more agents and more plots (and more secret or sometimes plots and more plots that rest on things acquired from other plots) Iām really finding it overwhelming trying to keep track of who should do what and keep them appropriately equipped, especially since I prefer to keep agents equipped for their best missions rather than change outfits every single time for each mission. I like the complexitities of the various plots, but figuring out who to send to do what and wearing what is bordering on burdensome.
Things I think might help:
- ability to mark agents as favourites for specific missions (and have what missions theyāre favourited for visible from the agent-choosing page)
- an option to see the list of available missions along with a ārecommendedā list of agents for that mission based on stats. Even just the option to start from mission and then choose agent based on the mission (as well as, not replacing, the option to start from agent and then choose mission) would be helpful, even without a Recommended list.
- being able to see the stats of agents that are out on missions
- dividing the list of agents so thereās subsections for Zeefarer/Intelligencier/Silvered, to make the list easier to scan
- Have stats highlighted when an agent has the best base stat (w/o equipment) out of all your agents/all the agents who can do a given mission
- the ability to lock equipment that isnāt part of one of your outfits but you still donāt want to lend out. This wouldnāt directly help the problem, but making it a tiny bit easier to equip agents would at least make the consequences of the complexity less of a pain.
- outfits for agents
Iām just so confused about āIn concert with a similar possibility an Agent can discover in Parabola, this may open up a lucrative opportunityā right now.
Most Plots now have a low-probability chance to give you an additional Quality that lets you run a special Plot[1]. Thereās one for each of the Concerns, that unlocks a new rewards in that Concern. E.g. the Silvered one is a special visitor to your honey-den.
And then thereās one super-special, super-secret reward that requires two Qualities and two Plots to get to the end of. Silvered plots have a chance to grant you the Parabolan quality, and Intelligencier plots have the chance to grant you the spy quality. The message youāre seeing is from the Intelligencier one. I got that on my first Plot after the update, and it took weeks to trigger the Silvered one. Just RNG, you know how it is.
After you have both Qualities, that unlocks a special Silvered plot. Completing that unlocks a special Intelligencier Plot[2]. Completing that⦠is the step Iām on right now, so I canāt speak from experience but supposedly it pays well.
Long story short, there are Rare Successes that give bonus rewards for Plots but take extra Plots to claim.[3]
Actually most of the time it unlocks a special ending for an existing Plot. Helpfully, there are Game Instructions on the Plots that tell you when oneās active. ā©ļø
The Silvered plot is actually a whole new Plot. The Intelligencier part is a new ending to an existing Plot. ā©ļø
Did you know the Markdown dialect on these forums has built-in support for footnotes? I did not know that. ā©ļø
Thatās so helpful, thank you!
Do you lose the special Quality if you run the plot it connects to, or do those stick around?
The various qualities are single-use. They are cleared by the Plot/Report that they unlock, and then youāll need to receive them again to be able to get the bonus rewards again. It seems their purpose is to encourage variety, giving you a reason to sometimes run different plots than normal.
They seem to stick around indefinitely. Thereās a different Quality-than-unlocks-a-Plot which must be used up quickly because it decays over time, but that one is triggered by standard Piracy rather than by Plots.
Drat, I may have already used one up then. Oh well, guess Iāll have to get it again to get the plot that needs both.
