Accidentally sold Cave of the Nadir's location

Does Failbetter generally allow for reversing this? There was unfortunately no confirmation prompt or anything of the sort. I’d like to remain closest to Hell, but also to keep the cave of the Nadir to myself as long as Hell is only a fifth as interested as they should be.

They do not generally allow the reversing of choices I’m afraid. (Reason being they would get so many requests they couldn’t do anything else)

It’s possible to sell the location of the Nadir and then become Closest to Hell again afterwards. That’s what I did, since as you say, the Great Game pays better. The cost of switching Closest To: is high but quite affordable; and the consequences are much more minor for factions that have been converted to Renown.

Why do you think Hell should be interested in the Nadir, by the by?

From the text, it seems it’s mostly Virginia specifically who wants it. She mentions some “choice souls” probably being down there, along with her general interest in the quarter. That’s why Virginia/Hell pays less; they have less use for it.

That’s what I was thinking, more or less. Just want to hear Clownie’s reasoning, in case there’s something I’m not thinking of.
