Spent a couple months drifting from 160 to 190 Shadowy unaugmented, more focused on wine, salons and secrets than on training stats. Had a Trade Secret stashed from a grateful client, and decided it was about time. Reached 198 Shadowy, realized those last 140 CPs might pose an issue. Put on my most noticable outfit and joined my Talktative Rattus Faber assistant, then went to the Forgotten Quarter for a long-avoided confrontation with the Infernal Hunt.
Chance of success, 90%. Seems 200 isn’t that far away at all. Just had to squeeze under 180.
Come and try, you malignant brutes. I had to dress like an incandescent clown just to make this interesting.
I know of two Infernal Hunts neither of which quite fits what you are describing. A fairly plain storylet for grinding Dramatic Tension, and The Sound of His Horn, which I thought was retired like all other SMEN content? Am I missing something?..

Definitely the former. This is more a good fortune post/topic, where the Infernal Hunt storylet is a shadowy challenge and can help boost Gerald Edgerton’s Shadowy from 198 to the big 200. :D He put on equipment to help lower the challenge to 90% for 2CP per success. :)
I get the same pleasure, at a lower level, when the card comes up that allows me to fight all the young gunslingers who want a piece of me. Queue up Badfinger: “If you want it, here it is, come and get it.”
