So as a question: I don’t have a surmise and am at PTpt: Taste of Lacre 8. I still have four buckets of "snow" (knew all those Night Whispers would come in handy someday!) After I take the lift can I replenish my ToL quality, or do I have to leave first?
If I leave, can I get back in after raising my ToL quality again by examining the "snow"?
I believe you’ll be forced out if you click on any useable items down there. You can definitely return afterwards.
I’ve seen people talk about using the Dreadful Surmise to raise Taste, and about feeding the boars. Are these the same thing? If not, what is this boars thing?
You need a Dreadful Surmise to feed lacre to boars. It doesn’t consume the item, thankfully, so if you have one you’re all set.
I don’t (I started playing just as the last Feast was wrapping up) but I wanted to check and see if I should be keeping an eye out for the boars as an option. :)
One thing you can do if you have 8 Fate to spare is to side with the University when the option appears tomorrow. You’ll probably be happy you did by the end of the Mr Sacks storyline (just be sure to pick the related options when they turn up).
On a related note: Does anybody know what the duchess, docks and the widow gave last year? PM’s are fine =)

It seems that the University and the Docks both give the same item but his chart shows the Docks as also giving points of Taste of Lacre- is it asking too many details about fatelocked content to ask if the chart is complete, or if Docks is better than University for total buildup?
Huh, forgot that Docks also gave a Dreadful Surmise. Yeah, that would be better. I seem to recall that one aligning in such a way that you don’t miss out on any Masters connection gain, too.

To check your Taste of Lacre click your Myself tab and check your stories, for me it is somewhere near the bottom of the list.

For Taste of Lacre, You’ll need to see the description and compare it to the wiki.
About SotC, actually you’ll need Sotc 10 or above to get 100% from monocle.
You can also set PtPT:Lacre as your profile quality and hover over that.

Does anyone know when lacre buckets will melt? I need a fairly accurate estimate in order to use my buckets most efficiently on the task of keeping a noman alive. I’d hate to have like 6 unused buckets when the great meltining occurs.
Well, the item text just says "use it by mid-January". So we have about two weeks to figure out the exact melting day.
Didn’t the melting also coincide with your personal Time the Healer? I remember Time the Healer once telling me that my Direful Reflection quality remained unchanged, at 1 (or something like that), and others eventually mentioned that their snow melted with Time and gave them Direful Reflections.
It’d make sense as a time the healer effect. So maybe the second healing of January or there abouts. Helpful, but then that means I have too many lacre buckets. Do you know if it was a 1 to 1 exchange of buckets to reflections Sara? Reflections are hard to come by so I wouldn’t be too upset about it, but if it was just a single reflection I might just use my excess lacre to raise melancholy instead.
