A Fallen London Christmas 1894

Christmas has returned to the Neath! We have plenty in store for those festively inclined, with our very delicious Advent Calendar beginning today, along with the release of this year’s Christmas cards.

ADVENT CALENDAR
Each day from today through Christmas, visiting the Advent Calendar will reward you with something distinctly festive and gift-like.

Due to access code restrictions on mobile, it’s important to note that the Advent Calendar is only accessible through browser. Each day when you visit the calendar, click once to open the door for that day, and then click again to receive your prize!

Be certain to follow us on the channel of your choice (Twitter, Tumblr or Facebook) for reminders of when each gift is released! Each gift will only be available for a few days once they’re announced!

This Advent, you may even find a gift from snowy northern climes…

CHRISTMAS CARDS
Do not forget to let your loved ones and enemies know you’re thinking of them this Christmas! Yuletide cards are available starting today until the 31st December!

Your stock of cards will be replenished weekly by Time, the Healer. Find them in your Lodgings, under Send a Christmas Card. This year even the Mayor might get involved.

(You don’t need to be acquaintances to exchange Christmas cards, unless you intend to arrange for the Bazaar or the Mayor to send a Christmas card on your behalf when they become available.)

Find new players to exchange cards with here, on the Fallen London subreddit, Facebook, Twitter and Tumblr. Feel free to use #flcards to show your interest!

EXCEPTIONALLY FESTIVE MERCHANDISE
The Fallen London store is now bursting with clothes, accessories and gift ideas for you and your delicious friends, including some new delicious hoodies.

Featured is the Mr Sacks range, guaranteed to attract second glances, questions at your festive parties (is that Father Christmas? Where are his eyes?), and perhaps a few nightmares this holiday season!

Be certain to order your gifts with plenty of time for shipping! Here are Spreadshirt’s US and EU cutoff dates.

Does this mean there’s no Taste of Lacre this year? Or is it just not time yet?

Very curious about this gift from the northern regions…
Also, was met with a fun little surprise whilst poking around the advent calendar page.

I assume it means from beyond the gate(because of Sunless skies)but I guess we’ll see.

Just not yet, delicious friend. That comes later on this month! There’ll be another announcement around that time as well

Lovely, lovely, lovely! My first Sackmass and I see the wound cards are great to increase Dangerous!
Yaaaay, holidaaaays! Gimme wound caaaards! :D :D :D

Hello, it’s my first advent in the Neath and I’m having a bit of trouble with the calendar. I log into Fallen London with my Facebook account, and when I access the calendar I get a message from Facebook saying the following:

URL Blocked: This redirect failed because the redirect URI is not whitelisted in the app’s Client OAuth Settings. Make sure Client and Web OAuth Login are on and add all your app domains as Valid OAuth Redirect URIs.

Could anyone advise how I fix this? I know that you can only get to the calendar through a browser (this is how I’m accessing it), but is there also a restriction on anyone using Facebook to log in?

Many thanks in advance!

EDIT: Ninja’d by the clever Lillian. Glad to know I’m not the only one with this problem, though

Ooh, this looks amazing! It’s my first Christmas and I can’t wait to see what will happen this year <3

That being said…For some reason, I can’t sign in with my Facebook account after being redirected by the calendar. I get keep getting this error:

&quotThis redirect failed because the redirect URI is not whitelisted in the app’s Client OAuth Settings. Make sure Client and Web OAuth Login are on and add all your app domains as Valid OAuth Redirect URIs.&quot

Does anyone know what it means/what can I do about it?

I’m excited for my first christmas in FL as well!
Edit: I’m open for any and all social interactions should you wish so (except affluent photographer).

Just popping by to say I had a good laugh at the Mr Sacks art in the advent calendar page source code, I sure didn’t expect it :p

Hullo Lillian,

I resolved the issue by removing the &quotwww&quot from the front of the URL (www.fallenlondon…). Once I did that it worked correctly. For some reason clicking the advent calendar link provided takes you to www.fallenlondon.storynexus.com rather than fallenlondon.storynexus.com.

Edit: the Masters have updated the URL above so that it no longer includes &quotwww.&quot

That worked! Thank you so much Sandy :)

My second Sackmas! It will be such a glory to actually know what I am doing this time! Before, I just stumbled about like a new born babe until someone handed me the keys to a very lovely zee shell by the zee shore.

Ah, to be innocent again.

http://fallenlondon.storynexus.com/Profile/Winter%20IV

To celebrate my first sacksmas, I am considering sending 1-7 gifts through the bazaar to those who have been most loyal.

Also: captins guide advent event possible? Maybe?

Most loyal to whom, that is the question.

Very good. If you miss a day, say, you can’t get on on the 1st until the 3rd? Will you get the rewards of 1st, 2nd, and 3rd, or just 3rd?

I feel happy that I get to say it’s my second christmas.

This is in the announcement

Each gift will only be available for a few days once they’re announced!

So it sounds like you will be able to open more than one window in a day

Delicirent friends, I have very much enjoyed exchanging Christmas Cards with you. Thank you for the opportunity to loiter suspiciously throughout London.
