Hopefully this will be fixed anyway in the next update but just thought I would say I have a workaround for the stuck in port bug that doesn't use fuel and risk burning your ship.
Save your game and then reload.

I have no idea where to put this feedback, but I feel compelled to say how much I love that you are addressed as "mumble" if you skip character creation.
(Just appreciating the small stuff. :P)

Likewise, I have been wondering where to say that I love the way the ship bounces off buoys now. I sail straight at them deliberately.

A query regarding Mutton Island: in Fallen London there's mention of the zealot-filled ship "The Israelite" which attacks the player character on route to Mutton Island. In Sunless Sea I have not noticed such a ship around the island or elsewhere. Will it be implemented at a later date, or will it be mentioned or encountered via a shore-bound story? Or will it remain confined to Fallen London only?

There is, in fact, an alternative source. Two, actually!
[spoiler] First off; Caches of Curiosity can pay out Longboxes sometimes (really not very often, though, I've seen Captivating Treasures much more often). Easiest way to get those is hunting Lifebergs around Whither; they don't have a lot of health, but one attack will almost definitely kill you right away.
Second: There's an event in Khan's Heart, occasionally, where you can stumble upon a candlelit shop selling a wide range of curiosities. One of those curios is a Soothe and Copper Longbox for 77 echoes. You might not encounter the event straight away, though, but you can stay in the general area until a Something Awaits You log message pops up, rather than having to make the entire huge London -> Khanate trip every time you want to make an attempt.[/spoiler]

OK thanks! I'm actually due to Khan's Heart to pick up some... erm... other kinds of boxes, so I guess I'll hang around there for a while. Better stock on supply I suppose...

Thanks for that info, I still haven't seen a longbox either, and I'm dying to see the Station III content. If it's as good as the new Godfall content I'm super excited to play it ♥
