I'm cool with people speculating - I set up a separate forum specifically to channel speculation. Just please don't allow any of the speculation to suggest we've told you anything, because EA has installed an actual literal ninja in my house to carve me up if I so much as su

I can only imagine the publicity and exposure that BioWare is going to get from this!

Nope. One post not enough.
This needs a bit of *dancing with glee* and *eccentric howling*.
Goodness. If this is how I react (with envy ENVY ENVY I am smeared with envy), how are you not streaking around the offices (on a daily basis) terrifying all non-FB-types with your excited nudity?

Bioware: A company to which story and writing come before set pieces.
Failbetter Games: A company specialising in games with excellent story writing.
Blessed be the child spawned from the loins of these two writing behemoths. May the good name of FB be spread across the world.

This is not trustworthy news, I say. Next you'll be telling us that you will let us explore a city stolen by bats. Hmph. Pooh.
I think all the tea in my house has just boiled themselves simultaneously. I think I might be slightly excited.

Bioware and Failbetter? While i'm not so green as to imagine a Storynexus Fallout game, i'm certainly intrigued. My congratulations, for taking that quirky indie dev bioware under your learned wing.

Ummmm....Fallout is Bethesda, not Bioware. Bioware's Dragon Age, Mass Effect, Jade Empire, Knights of the Old Republic etc.

I'm pretty sure that babelfishwars speaks for me because I'd have said exactly what they said, right down to the streaking. Man I'm glad I'm working from home today, or I might be a little embarrassed right now.

YAHOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
What really excites me is that FBG is the master of good and interesting choice in games, as far as I'm concerned. BioWare pioneered the introduction of choice in mainstream games, so I'm really excited to see what their powers combined will bring gaming.
This is also...hmm. I wonder what nature of project it'll be. FBG working with BW on an AAA RPG? FBG doing a tie-in for an upcoming BW game (Dragon Age 3?)? Both are deeply exciting.

Hence the “am I really the only one?” question. The last Bioware game I bought was Hordes of the Underdark, and I have yet to force myself through it. So I don't particularly care for Bioware games. But why would I come to a more or less celebratory thread such as this one to share such a sentiment? Can't I just let people be happy with the things they enjoy, while I'll be happy with something else that I enjoy? Why, yes, I can!

Well! There's something to keep space in the budget for!
... Okay, considering my sad opinion of Bioware's writing lately, Failbetter can only do better. Or literally fail better. *is very excited*

Wow, I am simultaneously thrilled, terrified, and hyped. I'm one of those grumps who think what Bioware's been doing since 2010 has been 90% abysmal and 10% pretty good, but nevertheless I'm really looking forward to this. Doubly so if it's related to Jade Empire.
Plus, this would be a pretty cool way to get attention.
