AND.... for those who asked or wanted it but haven't spoken up - a list of canon correspondences to date:

I didn't create this, but I'd urge anyone fascinated by these lyrical symbols to bookmark it and, where possible, update it as new content unfolds. Even if the wording isn't a direct quote of a symbol, but an allusion to what one seems to stand for, it'd be nice to have it documented.
Even if for no other reason than delicious head-canon! edited by Shalinoth on 12/29/2014

I just couldn't resist coming up with a few myself. I love this kind of thing.
Biting the Inside of One’s Cheek, to Remember the Sensation of Pain The Sudden Awareness of a Life other than Your Own The Slow and Unnoticed Decomposition of Hope over the Span of a Lifetime The Panic of a Soul, upon Finding Itself Imprisoned within a Body. The Preference of an Uncaring God over a Nonexistent One The Moment of Fear upon Waking and Discovering the World Anew The Infinitesimally Small but Crucial Difference between Death and Freedom Destruction for the Sake of Nonexistence The Cruel Satisfaction one feels when Witnessing an Atrocious Misdeed The Desire of Something For the Sake of Depriving Others A Lie that Upon Closer Inspection is merely a Particularly Malicious Truth Kindness for the Sake of Concealing Ill Intent The Crumbling Roar of a Slowly Decaying Universe The Gift of a Scar that Will Not Heal The Light of a Star that has been Extinguished The Morbid Anticipation of One’s Own Death The Murder that All Men are Capable of
Also, I'm working on a way to translate english words into correspondence sigils and vice versa, because I love doing that kind of thing. Unfortunately, the Correspondence is slowly eating away at my sanity and I worry that I have little hope of completing my work before I loose my mind completely. Also, I need to buy less flammable computers.

Friends, parishioners, &esteemed colleagues -
I humbly submit to this fine list a handful of the sigils whose meaning I fancy I've deciphered. While I've no doubt the Ministry shall redact from this post the exact form of the symbols being referenced herein (and truly, one can scarcely fault them for such, if so!), I include the most specific definitions possible in hopes they might aid the serious scholar regardless.
*(1) secrets superstitious (fish?) bury in the ears of (witches?) in order to forget (the context of this sense is somewhat obscure; further research required) *(2) general term for any species belonging to an order of very large Loricifera with soft pelts woven from shed eyelashes lost in the Zee (as illustrated in detail most unsettling in the late Mr. P. H. Gosse's unpublished Liber Saeta - manuscript pages available in the University library with written permission of faculty. To my knowledge, no recorded sightings of these beasts are extant.)
**(1) a sentient ambulatory mycoid (e.g., a blemmigan) **(2) the sound a fruit makes whilst rotting, or being gradually crushed (as inside a slowly closing fist or beneath a slightly heavier object)
***(1) the interrogation by torture of a guilty subject ***(2) the conflict of will and intent present between a forensic investigation & a civilization of flies burning the evidence for fuel [possibly a specific poetic extension of sense (1) - as attested most notably in Prynne's 'First-city Homilies' collection, Tablets 3 and 46]
*****(1) a doppelganger, an avatar, ones dream-self considered separately, or conceptual objects of bodily dysphoria in general *****(2) a contrivance, idiom, or artificial replacement which has come to supplant its original referent in perceived authenticity *****(3) a lie which has gained sufficient cultural currency to attain the resonance of truth *****(4) the sum of a charlatan's accolades
May the Lord defend us all, in His great mercy, who would seek true understanding, from the perils that gird all pearls of Neathy wisdom, here amidst the palimpsest of fouled cities that are and were.
