Hello,
few days ago the Facebook page of Fallen London allowed new players to start with detective tools if they joined the game through a special link. Does anyone know how it works exactly? do you need to connect through that link AND linking Facebook to the character, or the code works also for people who start email registration starting from that link?

Well, considering they announced it over twitter as well, I get the feeling that it doesn't matter HOW you log in.

Uhm, but if you connect through a social network it's obvious that you enter the game through that specific link, you just need to link your profile to the game... but for an email registration?

I can confirm that by starting via email-only from the tweeted link, the new character gets the additional items (Inklings of Identity and a Patent Scrutinizer, as well as a different intro text).
(Also, Echo Bazaar and Android really don't mesh. I wanted a male character this time, got a girl....)
