is there any point to them I know that wtts can grant access to a suffice to say strange place, but aside from that, and the wretched base camp is their any point in and of themselves.

There's an option for Heart's Desire that takes either the Stone Tentacled Key or your Burial of the Dead, What the Thunder Said, Death By Water and The Fire Sermon levels to advance the Ambition, and the later needs 5 levels of each to select.

Social invitations of all kinds welcome, especially games of chess and deadly sparring!

Also happy to help with nightmares, send sips of Cider, and plant battle.

Dream levels is one way to complete one of the aspects of paramount presence (London's Blood).

We are told in the storylets for Sanguine duels that certain dream qualities will enhance your fighting ability (i.e., if a particular dream quality is used for the storylet, the higher your number, the more likely you are to win). And of course you need a certain value of the dream "what the Thunder said" to get into the Mind of Dead God, which is the location of a certain renown item (and a special location toward the end of the Nemesis Ambition). But other than what Meradine and Lord Garuda mentioned above, those are the only uses that I know of.

Actually, dream levels also feature in ordinary sparring matches. I quite often go for one of my high dream levels in the second round rather than for one of the obvious options.
