Happy new year everyone! With the news about ambitions being updated/finished, I'm wondering if there is a place where all the ambition stories are summarized neatly. I played them all years ago and I honestly don't remember anything about them at all.

Since it's not allowed to publicly collect/share large text dumps, this is difficult. I can only refer you to the wiki. Reading through the snippets there, in good order, might be enough to jog your memory.

That said, I would definitely be able to write a short summary for each Ambition, if many people would find that helpful! Or if someone has already done that somewhere...?

Reading through the wiki is tricky as the snippets don't tell the full story, there used to be an ambition tracker thingy built into Fallen London but they removed it a while back if I recall correctly. The biggest issue for me is playing through the whole ambition took weeks at a time and I'm not even sure how much I understood at the time, let alone now, years later. I can't speak for anyone else but I would be extremely grateful to have even a short summary for each Ambition written up somewhere, if this exists then hopefully someone will point it out. I feel like writing a short summary is something even Failbetter could do, though I know how busy they must be.

Yeah, I never understood why they did that (or don't remember the reasons for it now), as it was really helpful. You could read back through your Ambition storyline the way it happened for you. As it stands now, there's not a quality tracker for every momentous decision: even after reading through a summary, you might not know for sure what you chose to do at certain points in the story if you don't remember/didn't echo it to your journal at the time.

I'll wait a few days, and if nobody points something out, I'll get to writing the summaries. I've an idea how they could be kept relatively short: by including links to player profiles for echoes of the juiciest bits. That way the summaries won't have to explain everything wink

That sounds amazing, a huge thank you in advance! I guarantee there are at least a few people out there like me who will be needing this once the ambition endings come out.

My understanding is that they took out the "Ambition tracker" because it was buggy as hell. My Ambition is Nemesis, and the "tracker" which appeared on the equivalent of today's "Myself" page had four different entries, each of which gave you little summaries of a section of your total Ambition history. But there was no way to get an overall, one-piece history, and I'm not clear that the history you got was complete.

Thank you in advance Phryne! Indeed, I don't remember either what Jolanda did or didn't do, partly because I didn't understand much of the Ambition back then. Though the Flit King's story stuck with me, I have no idea how I got there, or what momumental feats I pulled to have everyone present at the table.

Does anyone know when the Pails of Snow usually melt into Direful Reflections? I'm trying to figure out what would be the best action to take on Day 12 in terms of Echoes for my new alt, Ronald.

After the Wicket closes. It varies a bit, but last week of January or first week of February.

Because the Revolutionaries have figured out how to use them to, say, blow through a wall and gain access to a government facility.
