New year, new me! By which I mean I've changed my profile name. And here's this week's quick questions thread!

Does this mean I need to update my map of the Tomb-Colonies?

(1) I'm sure the fandom has identified which Master is behind Mr Sacks on each of the Twelve Days. I can figure out most of them myself, but I'd like to know if there's a definitive list of identities by Day.

(2) Which is the most reliable grind to reduce the Steadfast quirk? If my notes are right, it's the only quirk that is only increased, but never reduced, through playing with the Faction/Favour system. The opportunity cards that reduce Steadfast only do so by 1 measly change-point per action. Is there any other way to reduce Steadfast?

The Jaunty Mystic, Taranlei, roams the streets of London, interviewing fellow citizens. Member of the Sanguine Ribbon Society and the Temple Club (happy to send invites). Accepting all Acquaintances, lethal duels, social interactions, and opportunities for casual roleplay.

The Shifty Spectre has departed on the final voyage. "I have gone down, down, my love..."

Not really many options, but a Flash Lay where you could "farm" those cards may be fastest. Or a mix of those and some on the list that may suit you.

I know there was a list of the 12 days, but I can't seem to find it at the moment, sorry!

So I hit Walking the Falling Cities 100 today, and it made me wonder: What's the highest value you've achieved in that quality? I assume someone around here has something phenomenal.

So I see Siankan's post and I remember about Walking The Fallen Cities, which I don't even know what does. So my Weekly Question is: What does it do?

Walking the Fallen Cities is a story quality gained in relation to knowledge about the prior and future Fallen Cities. It is connected to certain stories (the Amused Lordship, I believe, and for talking to the Minister of Culture in the Court of the Wakeful Eye), but otherwise, it's one of the story qualities that gradually loses relevance as you advance, becoming little more than an artifact - like the Fallen Cities it represents.

Also, you don't have to manually post your profile link at the end of each of your posts. If you go to "my profile" in the corner (right next to "sign out"), you can edit your signature, which will be appended automatically to your posts.

@ Waterpls -- last week's final question, no longer answerable there.

The Urchins were still offering their wares last night.

How do I get myself to be "seen with" another player, so we can begin the "matters of the heart" stories?

pleasure to meet you.

Has some ideas the Masters won't approve of like some items and establishing a Colony in Parabola.

I will accept most social interactions (not duping). I do enjoy role playing as well.
Have some possibly still active codes!

Your Lodgings -> Attend to Matters of the Heart! -> Admit your affection for an acquaintance

Once your acquaintance accepts, you will be "seen with" them. Note: for someone to be an acquaintance of yours, they must accept your Calling Card, or vice-versa.

I expect someone is hungrier than I for Memories of Distant Shores, but I'll put my hat in the ring:

Mostly through the 12 Days of Mr Sacks, which is uncapped, and saving it year after year.

Semiotic Monocle might get you up to 8 ToL. Tears of the Bazaar up to 11. After that with 12 Days cards and/or Dreadful Surmise.

Curious. Is there any tips to win lethal duels for sanguine ribbons? I seem to have a bit of bad luck and have died a good number of times. Is there more to it then luck?

Greetings! Does anyone know where the best grind for Whispered Hints is? Or Bazaar Permits?

Becoming a Licentiate gives you some each week
raising Dramatic Tension to 2 (3 loops +-30 actions) with a Murderous Opponent in your lodgings gives you 3 Permits
Or you can steal them in the Flit if I recall it correctly,
(You can also convert Touching Love stories (25) + Bohemian Favour --> 5 Permits)
Or buy them in the Sidestreets for 100 Romantic Notions & some Visions of the Surface.

As for Whispered Hints, in the Labyrinth of Tigers you can convert Jade, Rostgold or Amber into Whispered hints for a 1000-->1100 rate.

That would require that I have enough Jade, Rostygold, or Amber to do so. Are there any methods to receive Whispered Hints directly?

Assuming you're grinding for Premises at the Bazaar, I was using the Appalling Secret option in Ladybones Road for the last stretch. Not sure how close you are but this got me my last 6000 or so.
