Right, so as the title says, I'm a returning player to the game after about a year off... I kinda kept up duringi holidays but...
Basically I'm asking what to do for endgame (profile in the link). Obviously, I don't have everything. No Overgoat, No fancy pants apartments of 5 cards, probably haven't even explored the entire Zee... I certainly haven't even started the Seeking (though when I was playing ti wasn't even avaliable)...
Basically any advice on what I can do with this account? I don't want to start a new one right now as this one I'm proud of and want to make it flourish until I've been on top and someone kills me to take my place. Or something to that effect.

I recommend Port Carnelian unreservedly.
Let's put it this way; my first character was a Seeker who existed for no other reason except Seeking, because that was the only storyline I was originally interested in (that changed later, of course).
I almost didn't go through with going North because being governor was so deliciously enticing a job.

I can see from your pofile you are quite accomplished but still you can...
Visit the entire zee. It is worth it.
Acquire the 5 card residence of your choice
Get Renown 40 with all possible factions
Raise notability to participate in the elections
...for starters.

No I haven't visted Carmeelian yet, ashame as I thought....
As for seeking the Seeker and whatnot... I really do want to do that...

You can *certainly* join the elections, I'd urge you to join my side... but really, it doesn't matter who you join, the more the merrier either way!
I mean it, though. This mayoral event has the community absolutely roused so you'll be able to mingle about with players and reconnect yourself with the community if you feel so inclined.
There are, of course, other seasonal events. Fruits of the Zee, Hallowmas, they're practically 'round the corner, so you can hold out for those if you don't feel like zailing around.

Zailing I will do. I learned about this game from Sunless Sea, so I have a bit of the Captian in me.
The festivals I have semi-participated in, but I look forward to more...
