Stones and ruins and reworks and factions - so much happening in Fallen London! If you've any questions about it all, here's the place to ask them.

Besides Crime or Punishment and They all look the same cards and Shuttered Palace is there any other way to cash in Constable Favours? I may need to rethink my Favour cash in system with these changes.

What is the average time for FGB to answer to/resolve tickets? I didn't get my Constables renown and it's been 5 days witout any answer and the zendesk thing where you could watch your ticket is not working anymore.
I don't want to bug them with multiple tickets, but I also want my Constables renown and the rewards for it.

They're probably a little overloaded at the moment due all the updates. I'm not sure how long it will take, but I'm confident you'll get help eventually.
I'm on 200 or very close in every of the four main attributes. Yours suggestions for one exceptional specialisation for my POSI quality ???? I'm thinking about An Extraordinary Mind. That one has the most mechanical benefits. You may want to consider others if you want renown 50 on certain factions (impossible to get docks 50 without the dangerous one, iirc).
Ultimately though I'd suggest getting whatever fits your RP. It's impossible to change, there are very few things it benefits significantly, and it's a pain to maintain. Personally I don't bother so that I can do weekly trips to the nadir. edited by Kaijyuu on 6/6/2017

Can fate-purchased exceptional stories be reset or replayed? I'm currently playing through The Last Dog Society, and have made the gravest and most terrible of errors. Two options were presented with identical artwork and nearly-identical text, and my character ended up doing the exact opposite of what I wanted them to do. I'm hesitant to contact support because the "help" tab implies that Failbetter doesn't correct player errors, but their explanation is that almost all stories can be replayed. Is there any way to change what happened? Can I pay more Fate to reset the story? Is this a case where contacting Failbetter might be productive?

If you play through the entirety of the story, you should then be able to reset it for 25 fate.

I'm afraid that's it, for now, at least if you want cash. There's also the Watchful training on the faction card.

Good day,
In Spite, during...relieving inebriated gentlepersons of their unwanted possessions...ahem...I no longer see a means to...help any of our vermin cousins. Has such been removed? Is the Someone is Coming quality now only to be reserved for its Opportunity card? Also, what happens now after planning that Big Score if you're caught capering through the Brass Embassy? Do you just lose all Favours, or is Renown also affected? Surely not the latter?
Quizzically,
Arden

The rat can only be found when Someone Is Coming is at 3 or higher, and from what I've heard, all Favours are lost, but Renown is left untouched when failing to rob the Brass Embassy.

With all the changes going around, I wonder do you think we could get a new club or two? The Parthenaeum is too stuffy and conservative for my character's taste, and the Young Stags a little too silly, a little too much like one of those college fraternities one sees in the American moving pictures.
Perhaps something a little more esoteric and mysterious, or something Bohemian? Or perhaps a political club for those of a revolutionary bent, like what the Frenchies had in the 1790s.
Edit: Thinking about it, I don't suppose this sort of question is what this thread is for, as it is more in the nature of a suggestion. Please disregard. edited by Plynkes on 6/7/2017

I think that the Dilmun club might be that type of club and there may be an update to that soon.

Should I change my job to Midnighter? Mechanically, it seems like by a large margin most rewarding job, especially if you account ownership of a Salon.

If you don't buy fate stuff, then yeah, its item perk has the highest mechanical benefit. With fate stuff it's not really any better than any other profession.

This is more of a lore question, but do we have any information on the Franco-Prussian War a few decades ago? Neither a united Germany nor the Third French Republic appear to be around.

The Paris bits from Heart's Desire seem (in my reading, anyway) to presuppose a republic, not Napoleon III; if that be true, one can expect that something had happened, anyway. Can someone who's played the Empress's Shadow refresh the memory as to whether all the talk of Berlin was in context of Prussia or Germany? That would give us something definite.
