Now recently ive been looking at recruiting people from rp sites to play the game, Now i choose to buy some fate and take A Significant Individual rather than being locked in as a "master" of a certain element, currently patroning a player requires your to be of the 4 types gained from each path and the currently unattainable path, Significant Individual's no matter how high their stats can teach anyone.
I would suggest this be changed, if you attain 200 in Persuasive, Dangerous, Shadowy or Watchful a significant Individual should be able to take someone on as their pupil, this would make it a harder thing to attain but would also help suit players that don't want to be classed under one tree in regards to there rp.

Do you guys have any opinions on this ?

What do you mean by harder to obtain? You already need 200 in a stat to be a patron.

I think you've put your post together in a somewhat awkward/confusing manner. It's very difficult to make sense of any of it. Especially given the matter of 'what does buying Fate have to do with anything?'

I was pointing out to become a significant individual is a fate path which is only attainable, via fate but its also the only Person of some Importance that doesn't get access to taking pupils.

I think they're suggesting that EVERYONE with, for example, Dangerous 200 should be able to be a Dangerous patron - without choosing to become A Shattering Force. Basically, they just want to keep open the option to become A Paramount Presence one day...

Still don't know what Fate's got to do with it, sorry.

Basically, the suggestion is to let unspecialized POSIs become patrons for any stat once they reach 200, mostly to facilitate roleplaying as mentor and pupil. I kind of like the fact that players have to specialize and there actually mechanical differences, but I understand the wish for more social actions, and specifically the ability to have the game register a relationship between players more specific than acquaintance, and beyond just marrying one person.

I basicly believe i mistook the point at - Sufficient Importance as the point that makes you choose the main four, This is why i was thinking Significant Individual was the Fate title option you get from taking the fate option.

This is my mistake, now i gather further, I would suggest if you didn't focus down a route you would require stats somewhere higher than 200 to teach a pupil.

200 is the stat cap, unless you specialise and use notability to build beyond. So in effect, if you don't specialise, you do require stats higher than 200 to teach a pupil - because both are impossible.

(By the way, it doesn't make you choose. You can carry on without choosing indefinitely.)
