Does anyone have any suggestions regarding my first Sackmas' plan? I have a feeling that I'm missing something; probably it's because of the last festivals that were more agitated and required more AP and planning.
Using the info from the link in my signature, I'll end up with 2 Pails and ToL 11 (let's say I pick all options). Add the fact that I want to side with the Duchess and finish the story means I'll have 13 ToL.
9 for my Bazaar Premises (4 ToL left) and the Noman (1). Last two buckets will take me to 7, get the Soothe & Cooper Long-Box which takes me back to 2 ToL.
Now, the Long-Box can only be bought with ToL and Gift+Last Dog Society start (right?), don't know how much time I'll have for SS to enjoy the quality from it, but my budget is tight considering that I want the mask from the Rose Feast and a KS backer level for SSkyes. I didn't met the Captivating Princess so I'll get a Dreadful Surmise from her. This seem to be the possible other uses of ToL (DS and Long-Box) that I desire.
I can buy another Pail from the Urchins, and get to 5 or probably 8 if I'm lucky, but what next? Get ready for next year's festival for Noman tattoo, get more lodgings, feed the Pail to a Monkey get a Tear from Nadir?

There is another way to get the Longbox - I got it as a reward for a recent ES, I'd have to look up which one it was. Not The Gift or LDS, though.

I'm sure I'm missing something in trying to get my Dangerous to 300, but if it turns out to be that the only way is to get my Notability to 16, I may scream. 213 was hard enough, and then it got worn down to 212 almost immediately. I have Cosmogone glasses, infernal rifle, spider gloves, and the laconic prodigy, and a mood card in my hand... help please?

With mod, spouse, +5 destiny, +2 fate comfort, +15 Notability (which is max) and Waxwail knife (which is retired) you can only reach 304. If you're missing the knife max is 96 so it can't be reached yet.

Ah, I didn't know Notability 16 was actually impossible instead of just feeling it, thanks :-) I get a bit weird about numbers- both 213 and 216 are Good (there is no reasonable explanation for this), so I get a bit weird about getting to 216 or maintaining 213.

Sacksmas is going on, no big changes have been made. There'll be a seasonal story coming out soon, about Jenny and the Empress's Shadow. Some new rewards have been added to the fate option of snowbound.
Criminals, Tomb Colonists and Docks now have renown rewards at 10, 25 and 40 renown. 10 From opp card, 25 from a specific location (visible at 10 renown) and 40 in a more out of the way location.
Sunless Skies is coming along nicely with the odd dev blog post, kickstarter starts beginning of february.
That's probably everything.

From a comment on LDS's wiki page one could understand that the option requiring The Gift offered a Longbox.
Hum, anyone else has any clue about what story Arandia might be talking about? If it's to much, a PM would be nice!

Urchins are an "any day now" sort of deal. We know they're next and they've been next for a while. They could update 2 months from now. They could update tomorrow. We can't be certain.
I think it's safe to say Constables are a ways off yet. I think they're next on the list after Urchins. But unless Failbetter surprise us with a sudden dual update I expect work on that conversion hasn't started yet.

Hello - I'm struggling with professions. I have all four abilities above 70, so the training professions aren't going to increase them any more. But I have none above 100, so I can't access advanced professions (is that right?). How do I bridge the gap?
Currently I have Watchful 94+15, Shadowy 78+13, Dangerous 86+7 and Persuasive 92+6. Where should I be looking next?
(Very much open to social actions - do get in touch. Light roleplaying welcome.)

You should be able to access the next level of professions, but the one after that is locked. They should appear on various faction cards like revolutionaries or bohemians.

Take a look at the faction cards - when you get the one with the profession you want (and you have the requirements) go to your lodgings and write a letter to resign from your current job. Then take the option on the card.

Sorry RL means I am not a very active player at the moment. No social actions unless you are prepared to wait and definitely no sparring or other mult-action things.
No Calling Cards or boxed cats please. Will take dupes on the affluent photographers. Other social invitations welcome. Parabolan Kittens usually available, send me an in-game social action saying you want one and I will get one to you as soon as possible.
